Re: Export to PCM 8bit Mono 8khz
Have been unable to create a WAV file with the following export specs: PCM, 8bit, Mono, 8khz. Have read all of the posts on this topic, tried them, none seem to work. Using Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit, SP1. Audacity 2.03, downloaded using exe module on 09-13-13. Have recorded a brief voice message u...

Re: Cursor functionality needs dramatic improvement
I noticed that you can play audio in it and hold down the left and right arrow keys for a pseudo-scrubbing ability but it won't reverse past the initial click/play point. Actually a contributor tried to implement seek behind the cursor some time ago but it caused other problems so it was disabled. ...

Quit Audacity before installing into the same folder.
Quit your browser if you have the Manual open in the browser.

Re: Nyquist missing files
Your problem is almost certainly happening because you are running Audacity from the DMG. Drag the "Audacity" folder out of the DMG into /Applications, then unmount the DMG and run Audacity from its folder in /Applications. I am experiencing the same problem too. How do you unmount the DM...

As before, I don't know which track is supposed to be which or understand why you simply do not File > Export... . If you just take your computer mouse and press the green Play button then you should hear the second track, then the first track, then the fragment at the end of the third track. Does t...

Re: Recording issue
Presumably your machine has an internal microphone and you set the Audacity input in Device Toolbar to that. You want to set the input to stereo mix or similar if your sound card has that. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... ndows.html .

Re: Seperate volumes for Stereo Mix input and output
I see no way ASIO4ALL will work with WASAPI loopback because loopback isn't seen as a selectable device in the Windows mixer. On my machine ASIO4ALL seems to use the WDM-KS "muxed in" terminology for inputs so I can select "muxedin3" which happens to be stereo mix (though Audacit...

Re: I want to move the cursor precisely
As yet another alternative open Playback Preferences and set the short seek time to a very short length such as 0.1 seconds. Then the . (dot or period) key will nudge the cursor forwards by that distance and the , comma key will nudge the cursor back by that distance (irrespective of what the zoom l...
