Re: importing mp3 files
I'm using Audacity v2.0.2 running under OS X Lion. It's about time I've installed the latest update, but I don't think it would make any difference. Other programs don't have any problem importing files with a backslash in their name. It wouldn't make any difference - Audacity seems to have a probl...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3 Where can I download it?
Audacity system requirements for the 2.0 series are OS X 10.4 or later, though for those on 10.7 or later, 4 GB of RAM is strongly recommended. Can you say what the problems are? If files are crashing on import or are not opening when you open them from Finder, please see: http://forum.audacityteam....

"Frankly it is very rare for Audacity to show an empty input box when inputs are enabled but simply not connected. That's why I had to ask if you had explicitly enabled them by right-click in Windows. The behaviour may be determined by your sound card drivers, and it's always possible the driv...

Re: Audacity does not respond
Thanks for the explanation. No single plug-in is mentioned in your report. I would guess you have too many Audio Unit plug-ins on your system for Audacity to start properly, with the result that it "hangs". This should be fixed if we commit the code in that "12571-plus" version. ...

Frankly it is very rare for Audacity to show an empty input box when inputs are enabled but simply not connected. That's why I had to ask if you had explicitly enabled them by right-click in Windows. Re: Weird sound at the end of the track
Try Edit > Undo "Studio Fade Out" then Effect > Normalize with only "Remove DC offset..." checked, then Effect > Studio Fade Out" again.

Re: Can edit and listen to music but not record?
In your picture of Windows, try right-clicking over empty space and if "Show Disabled Devices" is not checked (not ticked), click it to add a check mark then post another image. Also right-click over each device and choose "Enable" if you see that - I think those devices could b...

Re: Suggestion: Repair Limits
It would really be helpful if the repair function would have an "automatic selection cursor" if you will to auto select a range of 128 samples if you'd like, so that I can take the guess work out of how much more I can grab to fix at a time. How about a slight variation on that.... To use...
