Re: Cannot checkout Audacity Sources
Hello Paul, There may have been some Google downtime previously, however the correct command if you are using standalone SVN would be: * 2.0.5 Release: svn checkout http://audacity.googlecode.com/svn/audacity-src/tags/Audacity_2_0_5 audacity-read-only There must be a space between "2_0_5" ...

Re: Norton causing recordings not able to be saved
What directory are you saving the project to? Try changing "Save in" at the top of the "Save Project" window to your Desktop or somewhere else you have permission to write to. If you need to save to the folder that Norton is blocking access to, look in Norton settings and see if ...

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
Perhaps we need additional View menu commands? View > Selection (zooms and moves to fit as much of the selection as possible in the visible area). What's the difference between that and View > Fit Vertically? Lets say that you have 40 tracks. Make a selection in tracks 35, 36 and 37. Scroll up to t...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3.exe fails to run
You said my pc crashed so the memory dump for that crash would have been helpful. Audacity won't open when I click the exe file. I have also noticed some odd behaviour in Google Earth streetview, with large blocks of random colours appearing. So have you undone System Restore to the older Restore Po...

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
First, it's slow. With 40 tracks on Windows 7, after Move Track Up or Down, I'm waiting for more than five seconds looking at a History box first with a whited out list, , and then the whole History window whited out. Really? :o It's virtually instant here. I wonder why the difference. Is that alwa...

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands
Thanks, Steve. I gave it a quick try. I noticed the Undo item should have capitalised "U" in "up" and "D" in "down". Perhaps the History does not need to do so. I strongly dislike Move Track Up and Down writing per track undo history items. First, it's slow. W...

Re: Crackling audio playback - multiple formats and volume l
Sorry for the late reply. Just to close the loop on this topic, yes... I have tried all of these options and many more. It just looks to me that the combination of Apple, Apogee and Audacity doesn't work so well. I'll keep my eye out for future updates, but for now I've got to try to find something...

Re: Audacity doesn't complete conversion to MP3
are you saying Audacity writes a temporary export file even when the file being created doesn't already exist? No, I'm saying that it occurs whenever a file is being overwritten, but that file does not need to be a dependency. I only see the same behaviour I already described, which looks like &quo...

Re: Deleting the preferences file for audacity on the mac
Can you do the select all and copy for the two folder paths here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=225981#p225981 If you paste each one in turn, it will ensure Go > Go to Folder looks in the correct place. Lion and Mountain Lion hide your user Library but they will show it to you if you...
