Re: 64-bit recording issue

Have you looked at this FAQ: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements ? Have you been to the HP web site and made sure you have the correct 64-bit audio drivers for your computer model? They probably have a downloadable program that will work out what driv...

Yes it appears to be a bug introduced in 2.0.5, sorry. Repeat Last Effect only uses the default settings, so is not a workaround. I'll report the problem.

Re: Track Drop-down Menu commands

undo moves the focus to the first track It's a bug: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=510 . In your example (rename the fourth track, move it up, undo move) is it most useful for the focus to move back to the fourth track, or stay on the third track? Generally (as a sighted user) I e...

Re: Audacity doesn't complete conversion to MP3

Yes you can try WAV if you have the file space. WAV could be 10 times larger than MP3. But WAV is lossless so you can convert it to MP3 with other programs without losing any more quality than you would in Audacity. You could also try "Choose..." in Directories Preferences, then select ano...

still experiencing the same problem. There is no reason you should be having that problem. I can create a new folder at will and checkout in TortoiseSVN. I suggest you check your internet connection, make sure security programs and firewall are not blocking checkout and so on. Do you need standalon...

Re: Crackling audio playback - multiple formats and volume l

I've no idea what else to suggest, except make a special build for you that changes a small piece of Audacity code that a developer has said (possibly) looks suspect. For completeness, no-one suggested resetting preferences. It seems to have worked for one user in another topic http://forum.audacit...

Re: unable to install 2.x

The FAQ does say that you must be an administrator to install programs:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... s.html#exe .

But you shouldn't need to be an administrator to write to your own user temporary folder, which is where the installer failed.

Re: Any option to group installed plug-ins?

The solution may well be that the user is given a method to group their own plug-ins if they want to, by drag and drop and/or a dialogue, then user must by definition be satisfied with the grouping. The original implementation ignored VST's altogether so it was fatally flawed from the outset. Audaci...

Pauline, Edit > Preferences and choose "Directories" on the left. Click in the "Location" box. Right-click > Select All. Right-click > Copy. Paste that location in your reply. Also what happens if you export as OGG? I know you don't want OGG, but let's see if another format does ...

Re: unable to open project

Personally I can't see anything wrong with the structure of the AUP file. The autosave file is only for the first part of the project. Were you deleting part of the audio? Was there a crash? The same thing happened with 10-21 files What do you mean by that, a project called "10-21"? If thi...
