Re: Audacity doesn't complete conversion to MP3
I have not exported to .Wav, but I found the export to OGG very successful. Then this is further evidence that this is a problem with some other program or codec you added to do with MP3. Do you need MP3 as the finished product? Can we help you convert from OGG to MP3 after exporting OGG from Audac...

No need to be. This is not an Audacity bug or problem.steve wrote:I'm sorry that we've not been able to resolve this issue for you.Paulinee43 wrote:They are much appreciated, but I will just potter along as I am.

Re: Audacity doesn't complete conversion to MP3
Look, I'm sorry Gale, but I just don't understand all this terminology You already have FFmpeg according to your latest image. It would be irresponsible of me not to point out the differences when using "Custom FFmpeg Export" to export MP3, but if you don't care about those differences it...

Re: 2.0.2 on Vista - Clicking black merge line crashes Audac
2.0.2 is obsolete - please upgrade to the current 2.0.5: http://audacityteam.org/download/ . The project audio is probably corrupted - such issues are usually a single-sample clip that you can't see until zoomed in to see all the samples. I suggest exporting as a WAV file. If you had more than one t...

Re: Audacity Loop Bug?
Also I've just noticed you can defeat the restriction by using CTRL + R which will repeat the selection the same number of times that it did before :o . Should we close that loophole, Steve? I'd be strongly tempted to keep that "loophole" open, specifically for unusual cases such as this....

Re: Live Venue Recording w/ Scarlett 6i6
I am brand new to live recording and sound, but will be taking on a recording of a two-day fest. I currently have a Scarlett 6i6 for external device, and will be running it to my MacBookPro using Audacity. The lines in will include to XLR condenser mics and a left and right line out from the sound ...

Re: Help Automating Where Files Are Saved
Do you just want a default directory to export files to (or save projects to, or both), or something more? Will this directory be different on every user's computer?
Have you read http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 95#p223595 ?

Re: Audacity doesn't complete conversion to MP3
Did you reboot after uninstalling VDownloader? Gale said : "Also you could try using FFmpeg to export as MP3 instead. There are two different ways to do that. If you want to try and need help, please ask." OK then thanks. How do I do that please? Install Audacity using the instructions at ...
