Re: error R6034

Hello, first-timer here :D I use audacity version 2.0.5 on a windows vista machine. Recently I installed VST plugins into my audacity plugins folder. After the installation, on clicking any of the new effects on audacity, I got an error message about the cfg.xml needing an update. I then ensured th...

Re: Ambience plug in not showing up

I was looking for "preferences' forever, even before I came here to post the question. Another hour of searching and finally found it under edit...not used to seeing it there LOL. OK. I agree if you end up on a page in the Manual for an individual Preferences pane, you are not told how to find...

Re: PITCH OF VOICE PROBLEM

It has been noticed by other people in my studio that when I record my vocals, the pitch of my voice is higher recorded than in reality. I was told this was because the Sample Rate needed to be changed to 44100 Hz and the Sample Format needed to be changed to 16 bit so I changed it to them settings...

Re: Can't Open Export Raw Data / Databends

Audacity is an audio editor. Import Raw Data only handles uncompressed audio data. If you import an image as audio noise, it will export as audio noise.

Re: Ambience plug in not showing up

I have windows 8, and it seems for all the expensive recording programs out there, Audacity is the ONLY one that does not lock up and freeze on this system. Go figure. Please see here for a possible explanation: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Updating_Sound_Device_Drivers . I hate the reverbs av...

Re: Sound Quality Issue

After installing the program, the quality of my sound abruptly changed (the balance controls were, for some reason, reset to normal as well, but this was easy to fix); Are you actually using the latest 2.0.5 version of Audacity? That's why we ask for the full three-section version number (see the p...

Re: batch treatment-help

Do you think that i can export the files on external storage( USB) to read these files on stage, without using I Tunes or is it necessary to play the files with Itunes to keep the level adjustment,Thanks. The Macsome Audio Editor is free - you can use that to volume adjust the MP3 files. If you don...

Re: Error while opening sound device ...

Your device works with Audacity on Mac OS X and Linux according to reports on this Forum. There is no presumption multi-channel devices work with Audacity on Windows unless you build Audacity with ASIO support. You could try Edit > Preferences: Quality and choose 24-bit Default Sample Format. Choose...
