Re: OS X Maverick Support?
For me, beachballs and waits from 30 seconds to 1:30 from opening a file to seeing the waveform appear. This was with 2.0.5. I went back to 2.0.2.0. That works with no problems. Does 2.0.2 on Mavericks open exactly the same file quicker than 2.0.5 on Mavericks? What type of file and how long is it?...

Re: Export as MP3 Creates Empty or Partial File
WAV or AIFF export returns an error that the file was not exported as intended, as you say. There may be more issues in doing this for lossy formats or optional libraries like MP3. However if you wish I can add your vote for a disk space check before export. It is not flawless (disk space could chan...

Re: PITCH OF VOICE PROBLEM
One question mark is sufficient, please. So the Meter/Waveform db range is just how quiet the sound has to be for the microphone to pick it up? So it enables the microphone to pick up sounds in more volume? That range control does not affect how the mic records or how it sounds when you play it back...

Re: PITCH OF VOICE PROBLEM
should my Meter/Waveform db range not match with the sample bit that I am recording at?? If you have an external sound device with a low noise level then you may set the range to -96 dB or lower so you can see the low level (quiet) noise. Otherwise, quiet noise below -60 dB would not be visible in ...

Re: PITCH OF VOICE PROBLEM
I would recommend trying the microphone on a different computer -- and not in Audacity. Use Windows Sound Recorder. Only change Windows enough to get the microphone into Sound Recorder. This may be a setting in Control Panels Yes. Make the USB mic the default Windows recording device on the Recordi...

Re: Deleting Effects
What exactly are you trying to do when you say "delete effects"? If you apply a single effect like Wahwah and you want to remove the change that effect made to the audio, use Edit > Undo, as I already said in your other post. If Wahwah is in a Chain, you can only undo the complete sequence...

Please see the pink notice above which says: Please state which version of Windows you are using, the exact three-section version of Audacity from Help > About Audacity If you are on Windows Vista or later, this might be the answer: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting....

Re: Effects History
Do you mean by Chains? VST plug-in operations are already stored by View > History. No need to reply if you meant Chains, we'll take it as that.fatharock wrote:It is a feature request to have VST plugs be read by the effects editor option.

Re: PITCH OF VOICE PROBLEM
If the issue is a seriously incorrect clock speed on the built-in sound card, and you don't want to record overdubs, then adding the USB sound card to play back your USB mic recordings may well solve the audible problem. Would that not throw the timing off? We did that test. A minute of performance...
