Re: PITCH OF VOICE PROBLEM

One of the softwares was called Driver Detective Much driver detection software is a scam in my opinion, just like tune up software. You do not need to pay them money to update the audio device drivers. And given your comment below, it seems that from version number, you already have the latest dri...

Re: IDT/SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC - solution

However, when I did read the manual to see what I missed, I didn't find it very clear. The main problem I saw was the repeated use of the term "loopback". I know what a loopback interface is, since I have had electronics training courtesy of Uncle Sam, and have been working in IT for the ...

Re: OS X Maverick Support?

The toolbar is set to “Core Audio” and “Built-in Output” just as they were before I updated to Mavericks. The files do have audio data there and were recorded in Audacity on a different machine (see screenshot: http://d.pr/i/pqqC ). Choosing “Select All” makes no difference (as opposed to clicking ...

Re: OS X Maverick Support?

I reinstalled 10.9 a few days ago and all seems well now. Opening up files, pasting, saving and exporting all seem normal/quick in Audacity and overall things are much faster than before. Not all quirks are gone though. Hopefully they will be addressed in time. If these are quirks in Audacity, or q...

Re: Converting WMV files from pamela in stereo

We don't make Pamela. You can ask at http://www.pamhelp.com/?/pamela/Tickets/Submit . Can you not play the WMV files in Windows Media Player and listen to them to find out? Are these WMV files actual video recordings? If you install FFmpeg then you can drag the WMV files into Audacity and Audacity w...

Re: Printing Out 2.0.2 Manual

Unfortunately, there is no PDF Manual for Audacity 2.0.x, which would be required if you wanted to print such an extensive document in one process. We do not have the resources to make an official, polished PDF Manual at the moment. If you want a *rough, unofficial* PDF for 2.0.2, you can try this:...

Re: no sound after converting to mp3

When recording with a USB device you may have to disconnect the USB device when you want sound in Media Player, or set Windows to use the built-in audio device by default: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... k.html#usb .

Re: OS X Maverick Support?

I'm having other trouble on Mavericks on an early 2011 MacBook Pro with Audacity 2.0.5 from the .dmg file. Files open fine, but playback results only in a single loud click as the speakers are activated, and then nothing. Recording works fine, but no playback. You can set the correct playback devic...

Re: Audacity recording slowly goes silent

Install the latest Audacity 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/mac . Be sure to follow the installation instructions on that page, and be sure not to run Audacity from the DMG. In 2.0.5, open Audacity > Preferences, choose "Directories" on the left, and choose a temporary director...

Re: "Could not save project. Perhaps C:\Music\...

Thinking that Audacity might be in some sort of a semi-crash mode, I closed the program and then reopened it. So you said "no" when Audacity asked you if you wanted to save changes? I then searched all of the locations where I had tried to "Save" and "Save As" my proje...
