Re: Unable to Get Audacity to Record
What do you want to record under normal circumstances? You can rip CD's to WAV files. If you normally want to record computer playback, see Tutorial - Recording Computer Playback on Windows . With WASAPI loopback recording of computer playback, the audio stream must be playing before you record, at ...

Re: Audacity Recording with 2 or more usb soundcard at same
Here is our complete FAQ on recording from more than two devices at a time: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/faq_recording_how_to_s.html#twomics . M-Audio Delta devices can usually record multi-channel into Audacity using the older (XP) drivers hen selecting the "multi" device in Audacit...

Re: Cutting time from multiple tracks
Just to add, Audacity Team does not make or vet videos about Audacity. Most videos about Audacity are for old versions and some are plain wrong.tabscat wrote:I have just started learning Audacity, have watched quite a few videos

Re: Apply Chain
I agree with Steve about an option of setting Project Rate in Chains since it will be more of a direct approach when you open/create and edit your batch file. I think that makes more sense for the case of Chains, as I said. I counted your vote for that on our Feature Requests Wiki page. Furthermore...

Re: traveling mic level
Yes, I ran the trouble shooter. It still slides though. I have to cold boot it and watch it. It's kind of hit or miss. I can set the recording level but once the trouble shooter is closed it seems to go back to it's old tricks. I have a theory that it (audacity) became corrupted? I'm going to remov...

Re: Multiple export without changing metadata
Alternatively if Chains let you perform the edits you are trying to make, create a Chain then apply it to selected files. This preserves the metadata tags of each file. It will be more convenient to open Import / Export Preferences and turn off "Show Metadata Editor prior to export step:"...

Re: 2.1.2 fixes recording input level problems
Thanks Gale , but that keeps me in the analogue domain and I bought the Teac USB turntable as a quick easy solution to getting my LPs on to my Mac. Audacity has a good UI and I can see me using it for my attempts at guitar and vocals so wouldn't like to abandon it. Another solution I have seen some...

Re: How to convert MP3 / AAC to FLAC with quality increase?
Is there a way to convert from MP3 / AAC to FLAC with quality increase? Also, I found this guide. Give me equalizer file of the electric guitar? https://www.techwalla.com/articles/good-equalizer-settings-for-audacity Format conversion *never* increases the quality, but conversion to a lossless form...

Re: Keyboard combinations
Can it? It looks like no-one knew the answer, in which case please allow some time for it to be tested. In 2.1.2 and 2.1.3-alpha, diacritic characters (produced with Option key combinations or by long pressing a character then choosing from a context menu) both work in Metadata Editor and file open...
