Re: possible to recover audio after accidentally closing pro
yeah I seen that thing but it only does 10 files at once right ? Append Import will import as many files as your available computer memory permits. If you can comfortably handle another 2 GB of memory use, I believe you can import 2000 AU files. Actually I may have found a way to get around this, I...

Re: PITCH OF VOICE PROBLEM
i meant to say the timing is unaffected. That does not make much sense either. It's not unheard of with messed up sample rate conversions on Windows using an external device (or mix of external device and messed up built-in sound card). If the recording is the correct length (you sing for a minute ...

Re: windows 8.1
Thanks, Gale. The wav export is ok. It's the mp3 export that has the echo [even when I re-enter into Audacity. What can I do from here? Press the "Options..." button when you export and try a higher bit rate. This makes the file larger. If you recorded a stereo track and don't need it to ...

Re: possible to recover audio after accidentally closing pro
like I have 26k au files here I need to combine :( Then you should have pressed "Yes" to Save Changes or backed up to WAV export first. ;) If you only recorded four hours at 44100 Hz you should only have 4800 AU files. Are you recording at 192000 Hz or similar? Are you sure there is no au...

Re: possible to recover audio after accidentally closing pro
I'm putting 1 and 1 together and I'm guessing it was getting stuck on poor recovered ones? Don't know for sure yet but does that sound right ? Perhaps, if the headers of the AU file are damaged. But if some of the recovered files are in bad state, you are only going to get a partial recovery at bes...

Re: No Playback
It's happening again. I was happily recording, filtering, going about my business. Got up to refresh my coffee, came back, BAM no playback again. reinstalled a couple of times (checking 'restore defaults'), no dice. WHY Please try rebooting the computer. XP is very old. Exactly what playback device...

Re: possible to recover audio after accidentally closing pro
that might be tough, these were long recordings I have so many au files here. Even when I grouped like 180 at once it gave me this message but then when I did like 130 it did not ? whats up with that You should be able to group about 1000 AU files at once but there are bugs in the 1.2 recovery util...

Re: windows 8.1
I have been editing these recorded sermons for years with Audacity and they sound fine while editing and playing before editing. Just in the past month the exported version has an echo. Coinciding with the installation of windows 8.1 . If the tracks sound OK immediately before you export them, you'...

Re: possible to recover audio after accidentally closing pro
When running the recovery tool on all the au parts it gives me this message shortly into the recovering of 12 continuous audio blocks "See the logfile 'C:Program Files (x86)Audacity Recovery Utilityaudacity_recovery.exe.log' for details. then when I check this txt file it says Traceback (most ...
