Re: VST presets
Generally, all supporting files that come with the VST plug-in should be kept with the VST DLL file using the same structure as when you installed the VST. So if the presets file is in a folder called "presets", leave it in that folder. What is the exact name and web address of the plug-in...

Re: How to configure windows sound devices
I went back to Control Panel->Sound->Recording and ticked 'listen to this' and I then heard the sound. That should not be necessary - Transport > Software Playthrough in Audacity should work if you follow what it says in the Manual: Turn monitoring on by clicking once on the microphone icon in the ...

Re: How to configure windows sound devices
If the reboot doesn't help, try a new USB cable.

Re: USB Audio Interface
I'm not sure where I said anything was wrong with any of my recordings If nothing is wrong with them, what is your concern? We will not answer your questions again about "securing your settings" because we have answered them multiple times already. If you have $1000s in the bank, why not ...

Re: AUDACITY CRASHING ON FIRST LAUNCH
First you will need to install Audacity as described then hopefully you won't see the Nyquist message. I don't know what is causing the hang so quickly after starting Audacity. The hang report doesn't say anything obvious. I don't think VST Waves or Audio Units are the problem because neither will l...

Re: Unable to record or playback on USB
2.0.3 is obsolete now. You should get 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows but it won't help if you are not routing the sound from the mixer correctly. Right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "Recording Devices". Right-click over the mixer then cho...

Re: How to configure windows sound devices
Sadly it now looks as though Audacity is not receiving the signal from my USB turntable so although I have Software Playthrough ticked there is still nothing coming from the computer's speakers. I suspect the problem is in the area of Control Panel->Sound and that is where the manual says nothing u...

Re: USB Audio Interface
- I am looking to improve quality of recording Please post a sample of the recording so we can hear what is wrong with it. Have you made that overdub recording yet, so you can tell if recording with the USB mic and playing with Realtek makes the beat drift apart? Please do that and tell us the resu...

Re: libmp3lame.dylib Not found????
I can't export/import due to Audacity not being able to see libmp3lame.dylib, even though it is right where it should be, I point Audacity to the file, I do everything but rub it's nose in it. What am I missing here? What are you trying to import and export exactly? You can import MP3 into Audacity...
