Re: Problem with playback of recording

In other words, do File > Export... when you want to save the recording for use in other programs (as the warning states when you save the Audacity Project) .

Re: soundflower kernel extension

Thanks, Bill & Gale. So just to confirm. If I removed the soundflower kernel extension (com.Cycling74.driver.Soundflower), my audacity app should NOT be impacted in any way? Soundflower provides a system recording device with which you can capture audio playing on the computer. Many people find...

Re: Laptop crashed during recording

If you never saved a project there is a temporary AUP file called an autosave file that is similar to the AUP. You can find the autosave file on Windows 2000/XP at Documents and Settings<user name>Application DataAudacity or on Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8 at Users<user name>AppDataRoamingAudac...

Re: Audacity sometimes records at wrong speed

Re: libmp3lame.dylib Not found????

Got FFmpeg installed from a different app and Audacity didn't like/recognize that either. As you can see from the Manual, the FFmpeg library required for for loading via Preferences is no later than 0.6.2. We are hoping to do an update for later FFmpeg in the not too distant future, or use the FFmp...

Re: No data being saved

This is the correct download address http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Export as WAV as soon as the recording is finished. You don't have to save as a project unless you want to continue after the first session. the first test worked and I was able to export the one song in mp3 format and p...
