Re: Audacity 2.05 Download File Corrupted And Will Not Downl

Please try following the advice here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... html#probs .

In particular, clear the download list or cache in your web browser or download manager or it will probably keep giving you the same corrupted download.

Re: Is WASAPI limited to 44000Hz?

WDM-KS is still working fine. The current 2.0.5 release of Audacity does not offer WDM-KS unfortunately because it causes Audacity to hang or the computer to crash on a few machines. I also tested WASAPI out of sheer curiosity. Up to now I had assumed that WASAPI was limited to 48kHz (at some point...

Re: will not download

When you type, press ENTER twice every few sentences. Otherwise what you write is unreadable. What exactly was the problem to begin with? That you could not start Audacity? If you open "Computer" and put "*.AUP" (without quotes) in the Search box can you find all your AUP files? ...

Re: Installing a single new .dll in Audacity's x86 Plug-ins

Audacity does not support DirectX effects (unless you install what is basically a VST plug-in called a "wrapper") that allows DirectX plug-ins to be run inside it). Are you quite sure you are logged in as an admin? Did you unpack the DLL from any ZIP folder it came in? You can also go to C...

Re: au data recovery?

This is the page http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php? ... very_tools . But it is fairly pointless if you lost many of the AU files in the data recovery. And even more pointless if the recovered AU files don't have their original timestamp.

Re: Auto Save Error.

I doubt Windows 8.1 is the problem. Have you reinstalled Audacity and enabled the installer option to Reset Preferences? If not, please do that. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#reset . You have to reinstall Windows 8 to "downgrade" to it from 8.1...

Re: unable to record using M-audio Fire wire solo sound card

I assume no-one answered because they don't understand the question. M-Audio is not intended by the manufacturer to be used on Linux so you will always rely on the core Firewire support in the Linux kernel and possibly extra Linux-specific drivers written by the ALSA community. Have you looked for o...

Re: analyzing stereo and mono tracks

i downloaded that tool but my Mac says there is no application to open it. So i assume audacity won't do this right ? As per the installation instructions, all you have to do is copy the ny file into the Audacity Plug-ins folder and restart Audacity. so i tried that on the track that mastering guy ...

kozikowski wrote:Are you talking about Broadcast WAV? They won't open up in Audacity now, will they?
Yes, and without FFmpeg. But Audacity won't see the BEXT or other chunks or cues and will discard them on export.
