Re: No Playback
I have the same (or similar) issue - when I try to playback, I hear just few miliseconds of sound, then one loud click and then is all silent. Sometimes it clicks immediately. When I try the same with Audacity 2.0.3 then everything is ok. What are you trying to play - an audio file that you importe...

Re: Recording from Cassette to mp3 converter.
Try reading this Tutorial in the Audacity Manual http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recording_with_usb_turntables.html . Please don't look at the Audacity instructions in the manual for the cassette player because those steps may not relate to 2.0.5. If you are using Windows Vista or later, be sur...

Re: Very low recorded sound under a certain threshold
Thanks. I did so. Still not working. I join an example of what it sounds like: I recorded on Spotify the beginning of Air on a G string, but a good second is not taken. It's there but as you say, at a very low level. Did you check the playback "enhancements" as well as the recording enhan...

Re: Updated to 2.0.5 and Audacity won't record
Please see here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_windows.html . Note that you have to turn up the volume of the audio you are playing in order to record from stereo mix. If Stereo Mix does not work, use Windows WASAPI host and the loopback input instead (...

Re: Is WASAPI limited to 44000Hz?
Now if I have 96000 Hz in the Windows Sound Applet, and 96000 Hz as the Audacity Default Rate, and I record using WASAPI, the “Actual Rate” in Audacity is also 96000 Hz (bottom right of the Audacity window). Does this mean that resampling from 44100 Hz to 96000 Hz is being done somewhere? Assuming ...

Re: analyzing stereo and mono tracks
o.k. i read the manual it says to install the plug in into the plug folder in audacity. When i drag it into the plug in folder from my desktop it just bounces back out. Have you still got this problem? First, did you download the DMG of Audacity or the zip? If you got the DMG you must copy the &quo...

Re: Crackling audio playback - multiple formats and volume l
Thanks for the suggestions. The crackling issue is not affected by the load on the machine. The issue is identical if Audacity is the only application running or if (as I just tested) I have Audacity, Logic, Photoshop, Premier, Safari (multiple windows), Firefox (multiple windows), iTunes and Maest...

Re: Auto Save Error.
Try File > Save Project As... and save somewhere you have permission to write to. That will delete the autosave file if one exists. Open Computer and navigate to C:Users<your user name>AppDataRoamingAudacityAutoSave (go to the folder that has you actual name). That's the folder Audacity is trying to...

Re: analyzing stereo and mono tracks
are you saying to drag a bit of the tracks into audacity ? There is another way to do this that is a lot faster, but not quite as accurate. Drag-select a tiny bit of the mix-down in the middle of the show and magnify it Command-E. Do that several times until you can see the individual ups and downs...

Re: analyzing stereo and mono tracks
I downloaded the plug in you suggested and it is on my desktop how so i put it in audacity i don't see any instructions ? This is the third time, but as explained at http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Download_Nyquist_Plug-ins#install you have to copy or move the NY file into the "Plug-ins"...
