Re: iOS help

Because a developer who is working with Audacity has music knowledge, and if someone also has iOS dev skills they would be very helpful. I thought it might be a good place to see if some people in the Audacity community are also iOS developers. If you are both jamr and ron1972 your post might have ...

Re: How to concatenate two audio files

What would have made that FAQ easier to find? See How do I combine two files into one longer file? . Built-in search would help I guess, but searching for "concatenate" would not have found it.

Re: NO SOUND AFTER RECORDING USING Win 8

If you only have a pink physical mic input on the Windows 8 machine then it is no use for connecting to the mixer even if it recorded, because it would likely be distorted mono or poor quality stereo. So assuming you can hear what you want to record in headphones or speakers that are connected to th...

Re: analyzing stereo and mono tracks

Steve : So when i split a mono track and one channel comes out of the left speaker and one out of the right that is still mono and not stereo correct ? The only test of mono is when i invert it and get silence right? [...]I thought if it was mono that wouldn't happen Steve may have missed your post...

Re: No Playback on MacBook (loud click instead)

I've updated the Wiki page http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Building_On_Mac . The whole process on that page depends on linking Xcode 3.2.6 with later Xcode. This is OK when updating to Mavericks from earlier OS X as I did, because you can install Xcode 3.2.6 on Mountain Lion or earlier. I really d...

Re: Lame and FFmpeg libraries not where they should [SOLVED]

what finally helped is getting hold of a zip file that had both libraries I was looking for... and was *complete*. I dumped them both into my Audacity folder (in the Apps folder) and everything works like a champ now. Good. The zip files linked to in the Manual are correct - I already rechecked the...

Re: Updated to 2.0.5 and Audacity won't record

Maybe there is some conflict between the multiple audio devices you have. I believe "Audials" will show as multiple virtual devices in Windows "Sound", is that correct? Does Intel show as a separate device in "Sound"? I would guess not. Can't you record computer playbac...

Re: Inserting pauses to aid transcription.

Wasn't there something similar to this you already wrote that inserted silences? Or was that for expanding an existing silence (the opposite of Truncate Silence)? I wrote something for expanding silences. Perhaps those two could be combined if we ever get a more flexible Nyquist plug-in interface? ...
