Re: no menu bar when I open application
I don't use Macs but I think they put the menu bar at the top of the screen rather than attached to the program window Yes. It is possible Audacity could be covering up the menu bar. If you see the menu bar in other programs but not in Audacity, Audacity > Quit Audacity. Open Finder, look for Go in...

Re: Choppiness and Skips appear at 6:45:47 in Long Recording
Is the choppy exported MP3 from the project where you recorded with lower buffer setting? That is, you have not tested yet exporting from a seven hours recording with a higher buffer setting? Do you make sure to File > Close before starting new recordings? This clears out the Audacity temporary fold...

Re: Recording 25 tracks from Media Player into one mp3 file
Audacity can't Append-Import, where each time you import a new song it jams itself after the last one, all on one timeline. It's a Feature Request, not a current tool. It is a feature request, but after selecting the multiple files and importing them into Audacity as multiple Audacity tracks, you c...

Re: Edits affect more than selected area
Thanks for your replies. For some reason the file had been saved in the programme files folder, after saving in a documents folder the problem seems to have been resolved. 2.0.5 here I come... OK so you had saved an AUP Audacity project file (probably I should have guessed that from the title in th...

Re: Sound / Silence Marker
I don't recall any previous requests for Export Multiple to be supported in Chains, so perhaps you would like to suggest this in a new topic the "Adding Features" section of this forum http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewforum.php?f=20 There are already 11 votes for this on Wiki Feature Req...

Re: Will not record USB speakers in Windows 7
Have you tried closing Audacity down, plugging in or switching on your speakers, then opening Audacity? As far as I can understand this topic, the issue is not that Audacity fails to recognise whatever speakers we are talking about. But I agree if there is no playback to the built-in sound device w...

Re: May I record several (>20) voicemail at once?
By " correct input device (the third box)" did you mean I'd indicate my iPhone? No you need to choose the computer input you are recording from. If your computer has a blue line-in port, connect your cable to that. If you only have a pink microphone input, try it, but it may distort too m...

Re: Recording has periodic skips
Here is 2.0.3 - please test if 2.0.3 has the same issue on your updated Mavericks: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-macosx-ub-2.0.3.zip . Be aware there are some reports that suggest Mavericks is sluggish if you upgrade to it and that reinstalling Mavericks might help. You may need to c...

Update to the latest Audacity 2.0.5 from here: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . Then Edit > Preferences, choose Directories on the left then set the temporary directory to a working drive that you have permission to write to and which has at least 10 GB of space. Restart Audacity. Gale

I was just about to ask the same question (but to increase the buffer size in the Fast Track Ultra control panel).
Just to confirm, do you have the latest driver v6.1.9 from http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_U ... 8R-Drivers ?
