Just to add that if the little AU files really are that long then you have a very low project rate of about 8000 Hz (check bottom left of the Audacity window).

This will make the audio sound dull if there is any music in the podcast.

Re: Audacity splits my recording up...

I started a new topic for you as you may have a different problem than the topic http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=75696 you posted in. I changed your username to veda108 - it is not a good idea to use your e-mail address as your username in case nasty robots see your address an...

Re: Lost Audacity Project file

Help! I have a similar problem except that the data folder is there, but not the sound file. Hours of work gone. I have vsn 2.0.5 running on win7proSP1. I have already searched the hard disk for the same name as on the data folder, less the word "data", and got nothing. I am screwed, righ...

Re: Vocoder Effect

Install 2.0.5 from here http://audacityteam.org/download/windows then look underneath the divider in the Effect Menu.

If you still do not see Vocoder, Edit > Preferences, choose Effects then put a checkmark (tick) in the "Nyquist" box then click OK and restart Audacity.

Check that Transport > Software Playthrough (on/off) does not have a checkmark (tick) by it. If it does, click it to turn it off.

Re: Choppiness and Skips appear at 6:45:47 in Long Recording

I always got the one straight from Microsoft. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/diagnosing-memory-problems-on-your-computer http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/2008.09.utilityspotlight.aspx Isn't that the same as mdsched.exe which should be built into Windows Vista and later? I do...

Re: Crackling audio playback - multiple formats and volume l

The problem that occurred with 2.05 was with all my projects - I had about 10 stored and all had the same problem - they were all created in 1.3. I was using my built-in output for playback. I downloaded version 2.03 and it is working fine now - no problems I reinstalled version 2.05 from the zip d...

Re: soundflower kernel extension

To exonerate Audacity or not, Audacity > Quit Audacity in 2.0.5, then download and run Audacity 2.0.2 . If 2.0.2 does not have the playback stutter, then please try Audacity 2.0.3 and Audacity 2.0.4 and tell us in which version the playback stutter first appears. Be sure to quit Audacity before runn...

Re: soundflower kernel extension

There is something odd with Soundflower 1.6.6b, Mavericks and Audacity. The symptoms I am getting are. With Audacity 2.0.2 all is ok. With Audacity 2.0.5 and playback via Soundflower the output stutters. Playback to Soundflower should be inaudible. Soundflower output is meant for routing to a recor...

Re: no sound in MP3 export from Audacity

I made a voice recording in Audacity 2.0.3 (dmg installer), amplified it a bit, and the audio sounded fine. Then I exported it as an MP3 file, and there's no sound in the MP3 playback. I've done this dozens of times and have never had a problem before. Would you have any idea what's causing this? T...
