Re: VST plug-in won't show up in Effects after installation

Anwida is built for PPC Macs as described at http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=GVerb#Anwida_Soft_DX_Reverb_Light . If you are on an Intel Mac on OS X 10.5 or 10.6, you may be able to run Anwida under Rosetta . You'll need to install Rosetta on OS X 10.6. On 10.7 or later you can't use Ros...

Re: My first and likely last post.

The problem was the link in the first topic. Generally, links are removed from posts of all new users until they have established themselves, or if it appears appropriate, the entire post disapproved. I was the admin who disapproved the topic that had the link to the blog post, then approved your se...

Re: How to align multiple tracks to the right

You mean, do away with Tracks > Move Selection when Aligning No. That is "sub-menu 3". Yes, but you mean that you are removing "Move Selection when Aligning" as an item directly under the Tracks Menu, so we have [...] Unmute All Tracks ---------------------- Align Tracks > Casca...

Re: Using Gsnap to correct the pitch

I get the same issue with GSnap, irrespective of attack time. Whatever the sample rate, 10 milliseconds of silent audio are inserted at the start of the processed selection, and 10 milliseconds of the selection are removed at the end. I have not tried GSnap in other hosts but I think the issue is pr...

Re: Unable To Record With New Microphone

The CO3 works fine plugged into my PC USB it's just the Spark that I can't get Audacity to work with. It (Spark) powers up OK and works fine plugged into my iPad. Neither mic requires independent power sources. USB is all they require. Even though the settings within Audacity are the same as those ...

Re: recording is randomly interrupted

Do we assume the red recording meters bounced at a lower level when the silences were recorded? If so I would check the cable and the connections at either end. If the tape deck has a line out that may give you better quality than the headphones out, but you won't be able to control the level that's...

Re: Best way to deal with large files?

I've made some long recordings, some over 24 hours. These are broken into 2GB wav files by the recorder, about 2:15 hours each. To manipulate them, I have to open them one by one in Audacity, then save them as projects. This is taking several minutes each. Is there a way to automate that? I was ori...

Re: How to change frequency of a track to less than 1000 Hz?

I just want to change the Hz of a track to less than 1000 Please tell us what you are trying to do and why. If someone has told you to retune the track to 400 Hz because it is more relaxing (the usual reason people give) then -9.091 percent is the correct approach. Why I had to type in - 9.091 in P...

Re: Mono input to Stereo output

The poster suggests, obliquely, that the voice track only plays on one side or there is some other problem with it. Yes, but for the benefit of others reading this, the original post could be read that it was a mono track. We now know it was in fact recorded in stereo left channel only (but I presu...

Re: How to change frequency of a track to less than 1000 Hz?

Tell us exactly what you are trying to do. If you are trying to change the pitch of the track(s) so that A=440 Hz concert pitch becomes 400 Hz, Edit > Select > All to select all the track(s), then in Effect > Change Pitch, in "Percent Change", enter "-9.091" (without quotes). Cli...
