Re: Regular Interval Region Labels

if a user wants overlapping labels for some reason why would we want to prohibit that? We are not prohibiting overlapping labels, if user sets the number of labels and length of labels so that they cannot fit the selection. What we are doing is forcing overlapping when there is no need. Also the ot...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels

If "Adjust label interval to fit length" is set to YES, and "Add final label" set to NO, is this what you expect to happn? I believe so. There is clearly room for the region labels to fit if there is no final label, so the state of "Adjust label interval to fit length"...

Re: Best way to deal with large files?

Are the label delay problems any different for on demand loading? I've found I can at least get the project set up far quicker using that. That's interesting. Until you edited the project, that would make the physical size of the data in the _data folder much less. It's probably a good demonstratio...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels

There is an error in the error message: Where better for and error? :D Or for an error in the reply? :D :D If I have one second of audio, choose "Number of labels", two labels with length of label 0.5 or 0.4s, or three labels with length of label 0.3s, why does "Adjust label interval...

Re: Metadata tag value & auto-fill pop-up list

I don't have that history list and don't see a setting for it in any Windows documentation online. Have you installed some program that adds that list? If so, contact the author of the program. If not, try searching the Windows registry for "Radhasoami" (without quotes). If you are lucky i...

Not for MP3, though - the sample rate does not affect the file size.

I'll count this as a vote for "multi-channel playback" as a new feature unless pfeuh says he wants Audacity to always mix down output to mono or stereo as now.

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels

Thanks Steve. I suppose the only argument against is that people turn the new feature on by mistake. Otherwise it's potentially worth the extra control I think. To reduce risk of mistaken enabling, why not have it as a text box without slider? There is an error in the error message: Label length can...

Re: Can't open some MP3 files.

Yes, Audacity will play it with FFmpeg installed, even if misnamed with MP3 extension.
