Actually, I found that some files weren't loaded properly with the .mp3 extension, but worked when I changed it to .amr, while other files worked as .mp3. I guess sometimes it can't recognise it as AMR from just the file contents. If it's named as MP3, the MP3 importer will try it first. If it fail...

But since the user does hear the gaps while monitoring (on their latest evidence), it seems to point to a playback problem.waxcylinder wrote:You will not hear these gaps if you are monitoring while recording, only on playback.

If you use Effect > Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift, there will be fewer artefacts than with Change Pitch and you won't get unwanted length changes or gaps. But once you change pitch too far, it won't be without some distortions. If you don't mind the tempo change you can use Change Speed instead. ...

Trust USB Sound Expert External supports stereo mix - but it is not the only USB sound card that does.

So if you install the DTS decoder ( http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_input_dts ) in Foobar 2000 and convert the CD tracks to WAV in Foobar2000 without any processing, do you get a 5:1 WAV file for each track?
