Re: recording is randomly interrupted
You will not hear these gaps if you are monitoring while recording, only on playback. But since the user does hear the gaps while monitoring (on their latest evidence), it seems to point to a playback problem. Surely, it seems to point to a capture/recording problem - with the PC in use not being f...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
So I expect "Adjust label interval" to have no effect if I am placing by number of labels. :? What we need to consider is what is most useful to users and how to make that as convenient as possible. If necessary we can update the manual, and if warranted we can change the plug-in too - af...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
Why is there no label at 4 seconds? There is room for another label and I asked for labels every 2 seconds so where is the label at 4 seconds? Presumably it's allowing for the final label even though user did not ask for it. Which is what you complained about in your second post: http://forum.audac...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
At present a final label will probably be required in the example shown in my previous post. In this example case I think "the right thing to do" is to add a label at 4 seconds. There may be one or two exception, but for the benefit of the masses I think this effect should be able to do &...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
You don't give the settings used to produce those labels, but there is nothing obviously wrong with it if user did not ask for a final label. I gave the important setting here: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=233054#p233054 "If "Adjust label interval to fit length" is s...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
To be clear, this addition to the plug-in does not change any existing feature in the current plug-in. The slightly weird looking behaviour that you point out is already in the plug-in that we have been shipping for however many years. The new feature just makes the strange behaviour visible in a d...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
I'm still not clear what you are suggesting Gale, Perhaps it would help if you could show some screen shots to illustrate how you think it should work. The Manual says: Adjust label interval to fit length If you choose the default Label Interval placement method, the default Yes setting for this co...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
As we have a control for "and one more label please" we need to decide what to do with it. I vote for "at the end of the selection" Which would mean that this is wrong: http://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=9129 You don't give the settings used to produce those labe...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
Obviously it means that the control for the final label would be removed, but I think that control is of use in fringe cases.steve wrote:Which means that we have a control that "doesn't work" and will probably be reported as a bug.Gale Andrews wrote:or don't have the final label at all.

Re: Rip audio CD DTS 5.1 to multichannel WAV 5.1
So if you install the DTS decoder ( http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_input_dts ) in Foobar 2000 and convert the CD tracks to WAV in Foobar2000 without any processing, do you get a 5:1 WAV file for each track? Gale Yes. You can check that just in Audacity We don't have any DTS CD's so w...
