Re: seperating a low voice from track
If you post a sample that has only the voice that is too deep, we can look at it in Analyze > Plot Spectrum (or you can do so yourself).enticeman wrote:i think i need to find a secret service voice analyzer
But we can't speculate without some audio to listen to.

Re: Large sections of my project dissapears after saving
So, your thinking that the use of ( /) symbols when attempting to save a file will cause random sections of the project to dissapear and or make it saveable sometimes while unsaveable other times? Of course not. You will just see an error that the file name is not valid. Also note that what Koz sai...

Re: Large sections of my project dissapears after saving
Have you seen this Happen any where else? No, but you did come up with a squirrelly problem. Computer file management can get seriously Twilight Zone when you start using unacceptable characters in the filenames. 1/9/13. That's not today's date. That's a file called 13 inside a folder called 9 insi...

Re: Large sections of my project dissapears after saving
Not necessarily. You can use a short form: Numbers, Upper and Lower Case Letters and Underscore or Hyphen from the same key. I had to think a little about what that meant, reading it cold. How about the short-form being "You can use numbers, upper and lower case letters and the key that produc...

Re: Automated editing
I was thinking of a checkbox in the straight export dialogue. Something like: Export labeled regions only: [_] ? I was actually thinking of a more general option not requiring labels, analogous to "Include white space before start of audio" which I think is wanted. The command would be &q...

Re: straight lines no sound
Please go over this Tutorial in the Manual: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_copying_tapes_lps_or_minidiscs_to_cd.html . You want to connect from (preferably) line out of the tape deck (or failing that, from headphones out of the tape deck) to line-in (blue) of the computer. The mic por...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
Case 1: You want the "label regions" to fit. [Fit interval] 3 labels. No label at the end because the next label region would start and extend from the end of the selection. Label Track "C1 Point" shows this with "point labels" (zero duration labels). Label Track "...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
As I said, to me that shows 2 labels in the selection with a final (extra) label. Under the old (weird) scheme, yes you would have to specify 2 labels + one more. Under the new scheme it is three labels. Just looking at it, it is OBVIOUSLY 3 labels - they are even labeled 1, 2, 3 :o Yes but only tw...
