Re: LP TO CD
I am using Bang & Olufsen Beovox S30 speakers. The amplifier was plugged into the green jack at the back of the computer. So are those speakers connected to your amplifier, and you are connecting from green audio out of the computer to line-in of the amplifier to feed the speakers? Or do you co...

Re: No 'front line in' option new laptop to digital piano
No-one seemed to answer these, so... I'd recorded a piece with 2 tracks, only I'd cut something from the 2nd track at one stage - so it made the rest of it after the cut all out of sync with the 1st track. How can I add in a blank section of time to shift the rest of it in sync again? I realise that...

Re: Recordings on playback choppy, skipping
So if you are running OSX Mavericks, you will want to put your Scarlett interface into Class Compliant Mode. This essentially runs the unit using Apples Core Audio Driver (as opposed to the native driver) which generally produces a more-stable result. Hi Miles, Can you explain what the native drive...

Re: Recordings on playback choppy, skipping
I'm running a Macbook Pro OS x 10.9.1 with Audacity 2.0.2 Thanks. The latest Audacity is 2.0.5 http://audacityteam.org/download/mac . You may want to try the zip of 2.0.5 and see how you get on with it before replacing 2.0.2 with it. A few people on Mac find that playback after version 2.0.3 is cra...

Re: Crackling when recording guitar
So what is the make and model number of the mixer?
The latest OS X is 10.9.1 (please always give exact version numbers).
Does the mixer have correct drivers or firmware for 10.9.1?

Re: Distorted audio with t.c. electronic konnekt live
I have noticed that owners of some other audio devices have reported same kind of issues and I have tried all the proposed settings with no help. Please tell us what settings changes you have made. Did you adjust "audio to buffer" in the Audacity Recording Preferences? Playback from Audac...

Re: Why does it insert silence at the end of my sound file?
ADPCM compression separates the waveform into blocks, so you have to cut on a block boundary to avoid silence at the end of the file: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ee415711%28v=vs.85%29.aspx . I don't know what block sizes Audacity uses, but at 44100 Hz, if you cut on a mul...

Re: Recordings on playback choppy, skipping
I am having the same problem. It started after I took the latest update to my OS for my Macbook Pro to Maverick. I wonder if that messed up my settings? Are you sure the problem is not in the audio itself? Have you zoomed right in to see if there are flat line gaps in the audio, or if there are abr...

Re: Automated editing
But if user has labeled audio, something like "Export only labeled audio regions" would save having to split delete (or delete) the audio they don't want. Perhaps this is more generally useful than my idea, but I can see both having uses. It could be likened to a multi-region "Export...
