Re: Project is open in another window
As your two topics were almost identical, I merged them. In the process of editing a project, such as deleting extraneous noises etc, when clicking on 'delete 'the project disappears, and then, if I try to get it back by clicking on it in 'recent files' the message says the project is open in anothe...

Re: delete accident project
I have windows 7 and use audacity 2.0.5 I have been deleting various odd noises from a project but twice now I have clicked on' delete' and the whole project has disappeared not just the highlighted section. If you used the Cut button only click it once. Edit > Undo straight away if you make a mist...

Re: Adjust size of audio signal
When I move the slider bar the meter still reads the same. Are you using current Audacity 2.0.5 ? See Help > About Audacity. In 2.0.5 the input slider by the mic symbol in Mixer Toolbar: http://manual.audacityteam.org/m/images/2/2b/MixerToolbarWithoutInputSelect.png should be greyed out on maximum ...
Re: Effects
I have version 2.0.0 on Vista Home, and used the exe install. After adding effects to one audio clip. how do I transfer those effects to additional clips so there is perfect continuity, as i have to start and stop quite a bit. If you really mean different clips within a track, Chains apply to the w...

Re: Automated editing
I also wonder if Ctrl-b couldn't have another functionality during playback, for example: - You start playback - you set the region start with the normal "Set (or Extend) Left Selection" key (don't know what it is on en English keyboard, I've assigned "L") - You press Ctrl-b to ...

Re: Automated editing
Yes but I still think "Export audio clips only" is really ambiguous if you have contiguous clips. I don't see anything ambiguous about it. Generate a 20 seconds tone and split at 5s, 10s and 15s. There is no silence to remove. Straight export exports the whole 20s. Then user chooses Expor...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
This would be much easier as two plug-ins. "Regular Labels..." Creates a specified number of labels. "Regular Interval Labels..." Creates labels at specified intervals. I hope we can avoid that. Adding a control for the label length has only created a problem because the logic w...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
An example using the "new scheme". Here's an 8 bar phrase from a dance track. [...] I just needed to know that I wanted 9 bar lines (point labels), spaced regularly and exactly fitting the selection. Here I am fitting the bar lines (labels), so there is one at the start of the selection a...

Re: Add 2 sec more to an AC3 track
When Audacity asks you to select in which of the 6 channel you want your tracks to be, it MUST show you to which speaker are you adding the track. Now you only read "Channel 1", "Channel 2" and so. It should be "Channel 1: left speaker", "Channel 2: center speaker...
