Re: Windows 7 and Audacity 2.0.5 Compatibility
OK. I found audacity.cfg The offending lines do NOT appear. The dll files are in Audacity Plug-ins and Lame For Audacity. If you mean lame_enc.dll, if may not be a good idea to have it in both places. If you want lame_enc.dll in the Audacity "Plug-Ins" folder, try uninstalling LAME For Au...

Re: Norton causing recordings not able to be saved
I think i am having a similar problem. Thanks for contributing but it is not the same problem that mawestgate described, where the AUP project cannot be saved due to an error message. I am running windows 7, audacity 2.0.3 and norton 360 21.1.0.18 i looked at norton tasks (on norton 360, click &quo...

Re: Problemas al acceder a Audicity (nyquist)
If I move the icon to Applications (according to the instructions...) it doesn´t work. The instructions say to copy the Audacity folder to /Applications. They don't say to open the folder then move the icon (the Audacity.app file) to /Applications. ;) . The installer also has a text file saying wha...

Re: Adjust size of audio signal
I am not sure if it is relevant to this thread I don't think it is, considering the poster is presumably recording from a cassette or record. I can record in Audacity from the web browser using stereo mix under WDM-KS, but under WDM-KS only one application can use the sound device at a time for rec...

Re: Unable to export files (wrong file type)
Audacity 2.0.5 Windows 7 When I tried to export a project, the final product came out as a "file" type. I have tried exporting as WAV and MP3, but the results are the same. So effectively I am unable to play any of the final work, unless it's through audacity, or by specifying the program...

Re: Compiling Audacity with ASIO support, Windows 7
Hello, I've recently managed to compile Audacity with ASIO support on Windows 7. Anything built fine, with no errors, and I have usable application with on exception: The Input Volume slider is disabled, and gives the following hover-over info; "Input Volume Unavailable(Use system mixer)"...

Try turning off Transport > Software Playthrough - that is, if it has a tick (checkmark) by it, click on it to remove the mark. If the computer is Windows Vista or later, turn the recording enhancements off: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements . Gale

Re: New User no sound
Sorry none of this helped still no sound when I play a record. The more and higher quality information you give, the better chance we have of helping you. Is it a USB turntable or not? If it is, unplug it from the computer. Then you will have sound in Windows. When you reconnect the turntable to ma...
