Re: Listening what I record with delay
I have an old laptop (2005). I usually use Audacity to open multi-track files (mogg, ogg, or simply 8-9 mp3) and play along/record my guitar. Everything is OK with this laptop. -If I wanna play along, I plug in my guitar and I connect the audio jack from the computer to my amp. So my amp playbacks ...

Re: Audacity took over all my audio files
I never had an issue with Audacity until about 6 or so months ago. I use it to push vocals back so I can sing in church. Some how Audacity has taken over ALL my audio files and converted them to play as if I pushed the vocals back. Please don't double post in different parts of the Forum. That make...

Re: Can I record game audio with 7.1 USB headset?
The problem of using fraps of MSI afterburn is that I get some lag with those devices. I have an external HDMI capture card but it can only capture stereo. It can capture 1080p footage in the other hand. So I could use this for video and some software just for audio. Sadly I can't find one without ...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
I hope we can avoid that. So do I, but as we cannot currently grey out controls there are some unfortunate contradictions. The most obvious one is that when specifying a number of labels, "Adjust labels to fit = No" makes no sense. "Adjust label interval to fit length" makes no ...

Re: Automated editing
Generate a 20 seconds tone and split at 5s, 10s and 15s. There is no silence to remove. Straight export exports the whole 20s. Then user chooses Export Regions... and "Export audio clips only". User thinks this must be different to straight export, so assumes it must be like Export Multip...

considering the poster is presumably recording from a cassette or record. I could not surmise as much… Poster said: recording a Bob Dylan album I have stopped recording live streaming music. I have come to realize that I have stocked up so many recordings of all kind, including my old CDs and casse...

Re: Working in Audacity 2.05, but saves in 1.3.14
Unless you need 1.3.14, it's best to uninstall 1.3.14 to avoid confusion with 2.0.5 (or delete 1.3.14 if you did not install it). If you uninstall or delete 1.3.14 then double-clicking the file you are trying to open may not open 2.0.5 and you may not be able to add 2.0.5 using "Open with"...

Re: Can I record game audio with 7.1 USB headset?
I'm new here and never actually used Audacity or a 7.1 USB headset. So maybe someone here that already did could answer. When you use those kinds of headset windows outputs 7.1 like a analog outputs on any regular board? While playing games. And is it possible to capture audio like this? What about...
