Re: VST's in 2.0.5
Again, if you got 2.0.5 from us, it will not see VST plug-ins in a "VST Bridge" folder in the root of the Audacity installation folder, so I must make that clear for others. 2.0.5 would not read plug-ins in the 1.3 Beta Installation folder unless you added that location to your VST_PATH en...

Re: Need Help Fixing Clipping
Again, I'm new at this. I've been trying to fix distortion in some recordings for quite some time now. A little bit of guidance from a more experienced person would probably help. Here is a very brief (one second) sample of a problem section that I've been trying to repair: http://www.hollyhouse.or...

Re: VST's in 2.0.5
I figured it out. It turns out I'm just an idiot.... :o :D For whatever reason, there was an older version folder (unicode 1.3) that got left behind somewhere along the way. Most of my VST's still resided there. I copied them from there to the new install folder under "VST Bridge", in &qu...

Re: Upper length bar playback problem
Another solution that I've found useful is to just click near where you want to be and then use the keyboard arrows to fine tune the required location. I believe the amount of movement using the keyboard arrows depends on the zoom level. Yes when playback is stopped, LEFT arrow and RIGHT arrow move...

Re: Regular Interval Region Labels
Are these use cases smallish numbers? There are not that many mentions of Regular Interval Labels at all, though I did note one comment that one user was surprised when he was shown it in the Analyze menu, saying that he had not looked there and did not see what it had to do with "analyzing&qu...

Re: A more accessible way to set up latency correction
With WASAPI loopback or WASAPI stereo mix, overdub-recording playback of a selection, I get about 1300 samples of absolute silence at the start, about 200 samples of latency (noise) then the recording which is slightly truncated (though the whole recorded track is longer than the generated track). ...

Re: Can't Install Gsnap
Still there is nothing in my effects tab called VST or gsnap or gchorus. I have quite a bit of effects below the wahwah, but none of the VST stuff. I think it may be the 64 bit issue. I've been downloading all 64 bit stuff The GSnapWin 64 and the AIIGVSTWin64. I have two GSnapWin64 files in my down...

Re: Upper length bar playback problem
I've created a bug report: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=704 . I marginally prefer (for discoverability) that the arrows appear when the pointer is a little way either side of the cursor, if so the pointer would change to a finger when you were above the height of the triangle. Th...

Re: VST's in 2.0.5
After installing 2.0.5, all VST's no longer show their graphical interface....only the plain simple dialog. And yes, in "Preferences" - "Effects" I have "Display VST effects in graphical mode" checked. Are there any known issues or something else I need to do? No. Some...

Re: Can't get any sound, just crackle
Is it a Macbook Pro? Mavericks seems to create audio problems with those type of Macs. If you installed Mavericks over earlier OS X, you could try reinstalling Mavericks. What is your playback device in Audacity Device Toolbar ? Does the sound come back in Audacity if you open QuickTime and play a s...
