Re: Export
Install FFmpeg if you have not already done so: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown . In the export dialogue, select the format you want to export as, then click the "Options..." button to see the quality choices. You can read http://manual.audaci...

Re: amplify at frequencys
Its not a problem to slightly affecting neighbouring frequencies its about how to select the frequency i want to change... i cannot figure out how to select lets say 234kh on the interface its never exactly the frequency... If the exact frequency is crucial to your theories, then see: http://manual...

Re: Set Starting Track Number for Export
I have found a couple fairly-old posts related to setting the starting track number for export. The replies are all workarounds so the issue has been around for quite some time. However, it seems to me it should be a built-in export option. What is it exactly that you want to do, in as much detail ...

Re: Monitoring from vinyls.
I have an older Ion usb turntable, which I bought in May 2007. I used it successfully then, in Windows XP, using the Audacity software of the time – I forget the version number. As now I was recording from vinyls to cd. I have now returned to do the same thing, and have upgraded Audacity to v.2.0.5...

Re: Upper length bar playback problem
I wouldn't hold your breath that it will be fixed quickly but when it is, it will probably be mentioned in the README.txt and Release Notes for that version.rambomhtri wrote:Keep me updated if the bug is fixed

Re: inconsistency with import/export behavior
I don't know if you'd call this a bug, a feature request, or what, but I just wanted to put this out there for people to think about. When I import multiple MP3s, after I've edited them and go to re-export the results, I find that the default file name that Audacity suggests for the exported file i...

Re: new Audacity scans with every run
Since I happened to notice this old topic I'll update it... . Audacity will scan for VSTs each time until either: One or more VST effect is found. You tell Audacity not to bother looking for VSTs. From 2.0.4 onwards, Audacity doesn't go on scanning each time for new VST's if it doesn't find any VST ...

Re: VST's in 2.0.5
I understand. But, why then is it reading the VST's in the "VST Bridge" folder if you're saying that "it will not see VST plug-ins in a "VST Bridge" folder in the root of the Audacity installation folder"? It is. Then your version of Audacity behaves differently to min...

Re: Inherent split clips within a track
Many times in song creation I have the need to insert silence within a given track to move a part of the track a little further down the timeline to line up specifically where I want it within the song. Typically I will just select an amount of existing silence, copy it, then paste at the start of ...
