Re: Batch conversion from AU to WAV

I am using Audacity 1.3.13- beta on my Fedora 14 32-bit machine. Please read the pink panel above Audacity 1.2.x and 1.3.x are obsolete and no longer supported. I have a huge list of files (around 1000) in AU format spread across 10 folders, and I want to convert them into WAV format. I cant be ope...

Re: Can't find help project

The problem is that "Locally installed help is optional, but required for a full Release build." can also be taken as it is optional as long as one does not compile a full Release build. I did not write that text, but I have already agreed to tweak it. I have already read http://www.homet...

Re: Assign different inputs to different tracks?

Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit. I did install the Wave Driver, version 9.0.7 from the very link that you gave me. If you mean driver 9.0.7 from http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/download/Digi-002-003-Drivers , then it says "Known Issue: Digi 002 Rack not supported". Hence I suggested...

Re: Assign different inputs to different tracks?

I did read http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Multichannel_Recording after posting this, but, it is very discouraging due to the fact that one can not assign channels to tracks. That is seriously needed as a feature. We will add your vote for that. I thought that the version of Windows that I am usi...

Re: Can't find help project

I'm trying to compile Audacity, and, can't get past the following step: "Build the "help" project by enabling it in the MS Visual Studio Configuration Manager (Build menu). This will download a copy of the Manual wiki onto your machine and copy it to the correct place for your build....

Re: Assign different inputs to different tracks?

I want to record 8 channels live using Audacity via ASIO4All as I have already compiled it. Does Audacity actually support this? Audacity can record multiple simultaneous channels if Device Toolbar sees a single device that offers multiple channels. However you cannot choose exactly which channels ...

Re: Can't Install Gsnap[SOLVED]

Good :) Note that Audacity does not have MIDI input support so you cannot use the MIDI features of GSnap.

I'll lock this topic now.

Please start a new topic if you need more help with Audacity.

Re: Can't Install Gsnap

I just read the thread Sam Houston wrote, and maybe I'm having a similar problem. Do you mean this http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?t=77060 ? He had his plug-ins detected but they appeared with a text interface instead of a rich interface. That is different to your problem. I installed t...

Re: Audacity crashes when trying to open files.

I am getting a bit annoyed with this. I am on mac OS. X 10.8.5 and have audacity 2.0.5 Alpha. I upgraded after a suggestion on another topic but I still have the same problem. I was able to open this mp3 file with no problems several times. And then it just stopped working, I have tried 10 times no...
