Re: Aggregate device as input not working in Audacity
This solution worked, however, for the most part. Calls recorded with both my mic device and Skype. The only trouble is that when I speak into my mic, I can hear myself with a delay. I assume it's something to do with the audio being looped back. Any idea how to eliminate that? Thanks for testing t...

Re: I cannot understand the installation directions
It sounds as if you have installed Audacity correctly (there is no need to restart the computer). Unless you are an administrator you will not be allowed to write to /usr/local. Rather than save files to such an awkward place I suggest you change the save location. To do that, in the dialogue that a...

Re: Orphan Block File Long Audio NEED HELP!
We can't see your computer. Did Audacity crash? Describe exactly what warnings you see when you reopen the "wow" project. Take a screenshot of the warnings you see (ALT+ PrtScr) and attach them, if it helps. Is all the 3 hours of audio there, or is it all silenced, or just a few pieces sil...

Re: Splitting Tracks
If you you export as a multi-channel WAV by choosing "Use Custom Mix" in Import / Export Preferences then you can reimport that WAV and have access to all four tracks in lossless quality. You will not have access to the additional features that projects have, such as envelope points . Gale

Re: Aggregate device as input not working in Audacity
Every single time someone says they get Audacity to record both sides of Skype and we ask them how, they magically disappear for eternity. I have never tried it, but this setup using LineIn ( http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies/) with Soundflower looks plausible. If the aggregate solution does not w...

Re: Orphan Block File Long Audio NEED HELP!
I recorded something like 3 hours and it was high quality i got the log file and ill attach it. You didn't attach the log. Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936 . Which version of Audacity are you using? All three numbers. See the pink...

Re: Equalizing
I just recorded an interview via skype using the stereo mix input and my blue snowball mike as the mike for skype on Audacity 2.02. The current Audacity is 2.0.5: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . So are you making the Snowball play through the computer by using "Listen to this device...

Re: Splitting Tracks
When I am working on a project with multiple tracks, i.e. 2 separate vocal tracks, a piano track, a guitar track, sometimes I don't have time to finish my editing. When I save the project, how do I go back to it the next day to start back where I left off? Open the AUP file. It will probably still ...

Re: Icon audio files
If you are using Windows Explorer in an "Icons" view to view these files I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean. You have never said where you see the images you are complaining about, and I can't see your computer, so I can only guess. All I am saying is that if I edit an MP3 in Aud...
