Re: Trouble setting up PC, choices are different
What would really have been helpful, though, is if a manual for the 2.0.3 version I purchased, rather than for 1.2.6, had been included. OK thanks for telling me it was an audio-technica AT-LP60-USB turntable. I'll check with Audio Technica to make sure they include the correct manual. If they prov...

Re: How to rip audio (music) track from a DVD?
For a CD, please see in the Manual - http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_opening_and_saving_files.html#fromcd . You can just drag the CD tracks from Finder into Audacity. For a DVD I think you can still drag the VOB files from the DVD into Audacity but you will need to install FFmpeg first. The...

Re: Crash during recording from DAT source
It's almost certainly going to be 48000/16-bit/Stereo. DAT is the consumer version of a broadcast tape machine. I've never heard of a tape made any other way. I agree 48000 Hz is most common but the standard allows recording/playback at lower rates, according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital...

OK I'll record your vote.bmende wrote:If more command line options could be added, I would vote for running in a minimized window, and one to start the audio without user click.
Thanks.

Re: deleted .aup file
This is Hollywood sense of humour, right? Their stuff is usually a lot funnier. there is a script you can try which would attempt to create a new AUP file from the data So somebody did the concept, structure, programming, troubleshooting, bug fixes and posting of a Python script to produce the holy...

Re: Icon audio files
It has to be an MP3 file, but it's very simple - click to select the MP3 file in the list, then right-click over the image area bottom left of the program.Baïlakiz wrote:Until now I don't manage to extract and put again this image with Mp3Tag

If you click in the Track Name you can choose a Spectrogram view ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/track_drop_down_menu.html#spgram ) of energy per frequency band over time. If you select some audio and choose Analyze > Plot Spectrum ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/plot_spectrum.html ) y...

Re: Trouble setting up PC, choices are different
When I open Audacity it all goes wrong again. I think that is because the manual that came with my 2.0.3 shows the screens from 1.2.6 so I don't, for starters, have an Audio I/O tab. When you buy a hardware device we have no control over the version of Audacity (or the version of the Audacity Manua...
