Re: Recording, Pause, Cut, Unpause

What do I have to do to use your code icons on my email words ? This isn't an e-mail service, except that if you subscribe to this topic, you will be e-mailed when someone responds. I agree with Doug - hitting ENTER twice to split long text into paragraphs is very helpful to allow quicker reading o...

Re: Recording, Pause, Cut, Unpause

When I record in Audacity and "pause" the cassette and Audacity, I want to cut out empty space on Audacity back to where the recording sound waveforms ended, so I can "un-pause" to continue recording again. I cannot activate the "sizzors icon" to cut the blank area out...

Re: Ghastly noise

Also, try another USB cable and make sure the headshell on the cartridge is tight (if it's removable).

Re: Recordings sound as if they were made in a tunnel

My question is why didn't any of them sound that way when they were recorded on any device, and they all do now on any device? Thanks Sorry, but we can't see your computers and devices. If you are talking about computers running Windows Vista or later, you won't know what the recordings sound like ...

Re: deleted .aup file

it seems to me the ability to conveniently turn accidental trash into a working show should be very near the top of development efforts, given that producing a show is Audacity's Mission Statement. I would much prefer that those developer hours went into developing a robust unitary project format I...

Re: Recordings sound as if they were made in a tunnel

I have used Audacity for several years to do a weekly radio program. Three years ago I switched computers from Vista to Win 7 (64 bit). Now all of those old programs sound like they were recorded in a tunnel on any device I've tried. (Computers-Mp3 players) I've tried switching the bitrate up to 3X...

Re: WASAPI

I know it's almost a year later, but did you figure out how to record? I am having the same problem. Use Audacity 2.0.5: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . It has WASAPI loopback recording now (it only works for Windows Vista and later). Please read here for full details on how to record co...

Re: Windows XP set up

Also the instructions that turntable manufacturers give are often incorrect. I suggest you use this page for Audacity setup:
