Re: Sound Stops Playing After Editing In Audacity

There are no other reports of this. I suggest you reinstall Audacity with "Reset Preferences" enabled ( see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#reset ) . Then make sure your sound card has the latest Windows 7 drivers from the Dell web site for your spec...

Re: Setting default value size

It's really frustrating that I can't get the window size to be what I need it to be. Any other options I should try out? Maybe I'll try an older version in Puppy Linux just to see what happens. The incorrect starting width of the "Value" column also occurs on Ubuntu, but not Windows or Ma...

Re: Sound Stops Playing After Editing In Audacity

Are you adding some USB recording device to the computer, even if you don't use it: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... k.html#usb ?

Re: Feature request: "Goto" in Label Editor

After editing a label it is perhaps not unexpected that the previous selection and focus are changed, but if the edit is cancelled then it would be better to restore the previous selection and focus. We clicked "Cancel" because we decided not to do anything, so best if we are returned to ...

Re: Hissing ''BZZ'' sound in the [email protected] recor

Assuming that microphone on the Recording tab is the internal mic, you could right-click over it and choose "Disable". Or you could go into the Realtek manager and mute the mic (look on the playback side as well as the recording side). Are you quite sure those cables aren't touching? What ...

Re: Effects

No. Many effects do not have an opposite effect that you can apply after closing the project that undoes what you did. Reverb is an effect where the opposite (deverb) is very hard to do. Audacity could offer undo after closing the project, but it means the project _data folder would be much larger -...

Re: Periodic noise/static/buzz/interference. Please help

USB Soundcards are a good compromise, given they're not broken, but can have one serious noise problem. While the audio going to the computer is digital and relatively robust, the power to run the USB soundcard is analog five volts from the computer and can be "dirty" with bad regulation,...

Not only something that's plugged in. It could be your internal mic or virtual sound devices if you have those. Look in Windows Sound to see the sound devices.

Re: Newbie needs help

How do i do it with MP3 Split. That's a Windows tool and I'm a Mac elf. We should wait for one of the Windows people to comment. Koz MP3splt is not a Windows-only tool, it's for Mac and Linux too. But as I said before, I discourage linking direct to http://mp3splt.sourceforge.net/mp3splt_page/home....
