Re: Loss of all sound on Mac

If you solve a problem, it helps other users to say how you solved it. ;)

Was it because it's a USB recording device and system playback sound was set to use that?

Or because you plugged headphones in and the Mac's headphone's port did not disengage when you removed the headphones?

Re: How to create analogue warmth using Audacity

I started a new topic for you - this is nothing to do with losing Audacity playback when you connect a USB interface. Most vinyl warmth is arguably "distortion" but then sounds "distort" in a real environment and digital sound somehow doesn't always capture that. I don't know if ...

Re: Options Menu

I think Steve is pulling our leg or dreaming with the first two. Does the user decide what goes in "Options" so that it becomes "Favorite Preferences"? It seems that Options menu is esoteric, so a strange place to put an option to simplify effects. That's a completely different i...

Re: Downloading Audacity

I'm not sure what would cause the waveforms to disappear permanently. It's usually because Audacity cannot write to the Audacity temporary folder. That location is noted at Edit > Preferences: Directories. Sometimes Norton or other security programs can delete the Audacity temporary files. You must...

Re: problem with volume on exported MP3 file

Isn't the problem just that you need to turn down the gain on the vocal tracks using the -....+ gain slider to left of the blue waves? Mixing tracks is additive and increases volume unless the waveforms are opposites and cancel each other out.

Hindi dvd is of low quality video and i have bluray copy of same movie on hard drive If the DVD is of "low quality video" and is 15 minutes shorter than the official release, perhaps you should take it back to the shop. If it's not even the same film as the English version, you will never...

Audacity does not have a "delay" option, so this is nothing to do with Audacity.

Re: General information

I think most of this has been explained if you could re-read what has already been written. To improve accuracy, you can use the two decimal places for the seconds "Length to" in Change Tempo. As suggested, use Sliding Time Scale if Change Tempo does not give the correct length or the audi...
