Re: How to splice together Mp3 tracks
The instructions I read from the Audacity Manuel was as follows. COMBINING OR JOINING FILES 1 Import both files in to Audacity 2 Select the second one by clicking above the MUTE/SOLO button on it's track control panel. 3 Choose edit> FIND ZERO CROSSING 4 Choose edit >remove audio >cut [ The problem...

Re: How to splice together Mp3 tracks
There is a simpler way to do it. Import all your songs and Audacity will stack them one on top of the other and try to play them all at once (use MUTE and SOLO to play them one at a time). Use the Time Shift Tool (sideways black arrows) to slide track two to the right until it starts playing when t...

Re: Compile error analyze.ny
For Audacity to build without failing, I had to remove analyze.ny from the plug-ins folder in the Audacity VC++ project. If you are using the current SVN checkout, analyze.ny is not present. Analyze.ny has not yet been removed from the Windows MSVC project files, so as frenchfries says, Audacity wo...

Re: Time/sampling problem recording from DAT at 48k
If it a 44100/48000 Hz issue, you can correct the problem after recording using Effect > Change Speed with Percent Change of 8.844. It is probably a sample rate mismatch somewhere in Windows. Try the following if you have not already done so which should let Audacity request the sample rate direct f...

Re: Can I select stereo recording tracks from available trac
No, sorry that's a feature request - something Audacity can't do yet. We'll record your vote for that.
If you are not already doing so, please make sure you use the latest Audacity 2.0.5 from: http://audacityteam.org/download/mac .

Re: Goes Blank
It may seem a rather stupid question but after I import vocals (.m4a) into Audacity everything works perfectly for a while, but after five-minutes-ish in the toolbar (file, edit, view, etc) some of the options goes blank (like save project, stereo to mono and others), and I can't click on them. Sam...

Re: Trouble recording - Librivox user
Audacity doesn't record at low bit rates. It records in uncompressed PCM audio. If you record at standard 44100 Hz sample rate, the lowest bit rate you can record at is 705 kbps (mono 16-bit), but this is not relevant to you recording a flat line. If it is a settings problem, make sure you enabled &...

Re: Audacity doesn't locate ffmpeg
I download as you say mediainfo withaout insaller. What should i do to install it. Download the GUI version without installer (not the DLL without installer). It is supplied as a "7z" compressed file. This means you have to decompress that 7z file, which puts the decompressed MediaInfo fi...

Re: Audio synchrnization
Please stop posting about this problem in multiple topics. It is nothing to do with Audacity. Please read this. If you try to fit audio from one film into another longer version of the same film, you will not be able to "synchronise" the video and the audio because the audio is meant for t...
