Re: Skipping in Mavericks
I know chances of this are zero, but do you have any way to record the skipping? Cellphone Personal Recorder APP? Audacity can record itself using Soundflower ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_computer_playback_on_mac.html ) but it's possible that may cause extra stuttering....

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
So that begs the question, what's different in the memory management between 2.0.3 and 2.0.5? Nothing to my knowledge. If memory leaks are found, they are fixed. I know from other investigations that Mavericks has different management than other Macs There is some new "memory compression"...

Re: Connecting stereo to Mac
I added the UFO202 to the Wiki page, which also lists the Art USB Phono Plus for direct connection of a turntable.

Re: Can I select stereo recording tracks from available trac
I have tried all versions since v1.3x through 2.05 and then using v2.00 because I felt it is most stable. When I tried v2.05, sometimes small dropout occurs while playing back. The condition when dropout occur is uncertain, but the problem seems to be disappeared when I returned back to v2.00. I'm ...

Re: Options Menu
Some preferences have already been put in more convenient places. The device preferences are now duplicated in the device toolbar. Do we really need the duplication? I think that's a fair question, but hopefully sometime we will have "Recording Profiles" for choosing which channels to rec...

Re: Connecting stereo to Mac
If it's a new MacBook with only one audio port that is meant for headsets with four-position connectors, you don't - because even with an adaptor it's only suitable for microphone input. You'll need to buy a USB interface that has a line-in, like one of these: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recom...

Any header in an audio file is rendered and will be heard as an audible click.cloud_canvas wrote:Is the header included in the rendering process as well? As in, the header is rendered as 16-bit samples at the beginning of the audio file as well?

Re: does'nt recognize vibe turntable
Make sure the computer sees the turntable. Follow all the steps at "Detecting USB and Firewire Devices" in the green box here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#flatline . For setting up Audacity once it sees the turntable, please read Recording with U...

Re: Time/sampling problem recording from DAT at 48k
On the Advanced tab in the Playback properties both boxes were already checked, but the dropdown for the Default (shared?) sampling rate was 44. I changed that to 48 and the next tape came in perfectly. Yes the "Default Format" sample rate and bit depth only apply in Shared Mode, and not ...

Re: Working fine a min ago, tons of interference when record
I just downloaded the latest version of Audacity. What are the exact three numbers from Help > About Audacity? See the pink panel at the top of the page. I am running it on a Windows 7 Sony Vaio Laptop. I installed the software, plugged in my usb mic, and opened audacity. After playing around with ...
