Re: Un piccolo grande aiuto...
Please write in English on the English Forum. You cannot remove echo. Try using Compressor to make the volume of the voices more equal. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/compressor.html . If you need more help, attach a short sample of the file containing both voices. Please see here for how ...

Re: Options Menu
I think this is drifting away from the subject "Options Menu". I don't like that idea very much if all "options" were there instead of in the menus they belong in. Or is the idea that Options is the "Easy Preferences" (irrespective how often you want to change them) and...

Re: Export of File and Export folder.
I am having an issue with Audacity 2.x -- I have had it for a long time. Then please update to 2.0.5 from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows - although it won't help your issue. :( Also next time please give all three numbers of the Audacity version you have so that it is unambiguous - see th...

Re: Simple help needed - unknown term in Audacity
Once the blue waves go all the way up and down and the sound meters go all the way to the right during a live recording, the damage is permanent. That's where the digital sound system "runs out of numbers" and is no longer able to accurately represent your voice. There is no filter or eff...

Re: Cannot save project file triggers data loss
This sounds like Norton again. If you have Norton, try turning off its Windows temporary file cleaner and lodge a complaint with Norton. Let us know what they tell you to stop it happening. The error check for the drive is at My Computer, right-click over the drive, choose "Properties", th...

Re: batch processing
I think the examples assume the "Apply Chain" section above the examples has already been read, however I have added the extra step below the image in both examples.
This change will be in the Manual for 2.0.6 when that version is released.
Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Editing a Single Track
The click above Mute/Solo selects all the track, just to show you how to do that. The double-click in the waves selects the entire clip , but if you have not made separate clips, it does the same as click above Mute / Solo and selects all the track. If you then just drag-select the piece you want to...

Re: Editing a Single Track
Edits apply to tracks that are selected. Click above Mute / Solo in the track you want to edit, then the edit will apply only to that selected track. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... ction.html .

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
The CPU use shown in DigiVinyl's screenshot while playing is equivalent to mine in Mavericks (I don't get stuttering, crackling or skipping). The large number of "Idle Wakeups" for Audacity is interesting, even when Audacity is notionally "idle". This value (new in Mavericks) sho...

Re: Options Menu
hopefully sometime we will have "Recording Profiles" for choosing which channels to record and what tracks to allocate them to, and audio to buffer/latency correction per device. The latter may well be easiest handled in Preferences. So at some point in the future there may be a need for ...
