Re: Audio corrupted and raw input not working.

This is the Audacity Forum. Audacity did not corrupt your file.

I know of MP3val.

There are other forums you can ask on like Hydrogenaudio where I think you will find users more likely to be willing to invest time helping you.

Re: Gatherin' Up Chunks

Alright. Is there an optimal way to get an exported audio file from their computers to mine? Can they just upload them to like, google drive? A WAV or other files are portable between computers if the name contains only A to Z or a to z characters, whole numbers (0 to 9), underscore or hyphen-minus...

Yes WMA V2 can be exported. Most WMA types can be imported except WMA Lossless 24-bit.

Re: Override default "new track" on stop?

I'm not sure why this topic is in the Linux section, but I see you are on Windows, so if you want to try building Audacity from the source code, I'd suggest you look at the information on the discussion page of the wiki here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Talk:Developing_On_Windows (This inform...

In a nutshell you are not spending enough money. You are not going to get processing, filtering and stabilising for $100.

Try a pro XLR mic in a pro interface.

Re: no sound but green bars move

Do you need the "LogMeInSoundDriver"? Have you tried installing Soundflower https://github.com/mattingalls/Soundflower/releases/download/2.0b2/Soundflower-2.0b2.dmg , setting Soundflower playback to the output device you want to use, then choosing Soundflower as the Audacity playback device? Gale

Re: Cannot change preferences

What directory path are you trying to change to? Choose the recommended temporary directory of C:\Documents and Settings\<your username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Audacity\SessionData, Audacity won't let you save to directories that cleanup applications target, because you can lose your work w...

Re: Win 10 update fiasco

For example do you have the latest UR-12 Firmware Update and Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver ?

You can also read our long checklist of factors that can cause dropouts: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Manag ... nd_Drivers.

Re: Audio problem recording a podcast

Choose the correct recording device in Audacity's Device Toolbar.

Look at the settings on the mixer in respect of whatever it is that you are trying to record (a mix of two sound tracks or whatever). What audio is in the headphones now?
