Have you installed other competing virtual devices like "Greatdy" that are trying unsuccessfully to do the same thing?
Have you tried opening /Applications/Soundflower, running "Uninstall Soundflower.scpt" (try double-clicking it) then reinstall Soundflower?

Re: Export of File and Export folder.
But if the code that detects where the file comes from is agnostic of the export dialogue, shouldn't it work with the existing dialogues on any platform? If you look at lib-src/FileDialog/ you will see that each of the three platforms has an entirely different source code directory; a Developer fam...

Re: WON'T RECORD (LATENCY ISSUES?)
Sucks that I had to reset all my prefrences, but as long as it works. If it happens again, you could try the "cold reboot" (as indicated) first. What recording device(s) would you recommend that work well with Audacity, if you don't mind? Such as latency and such? What devices do you have...

Open Device Toolbar . In the first (Host) box of Device Toolbar, choose "Windows WASAPI". In the second (Output device) box in Device Toolbar, choose the NVIDIA Speakers or Headphones that you are using for listening. In the third (Input device) box in Device Toolbar, choose the (loopback...

Yes - those were transparent images and the policy now recommends "white background" images instead.steve wrote:The .PNG images are "Page Not Found". I presume that they have moved somewhere else?
I updated the list.

Re: Auto Recovered file has flat line and no sound
I had Audacity version 1.3.12 but have since upgraded to 2.0.5. I have the following issue and was looking for some help here if possible. I was recording a project and the power was removed to my laptop causing the laptop to immediately shut off (no battery). When I powered the laptop back up and ...

Re: NVIDIA Sound Card Version 1.3.18.0 Not Compatible
Lastly, I did indeed read the entire Audacity tutorial for Windows, and I am familiar with that loopback method, which I also came across in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXRe-5BZXrc but was hoping to avoid a trip to Radio Shack for the cable. Sorry, but that video is very misleading....

Re: Exporting wav files to thumb drive.
I just tried a little experiment. I ran 3 more music selections through Audacity and directly saved them to an SD card. Are you sure this direct saving to thumb drive or SD card isn't the issue? Have you tried exporting to the Desktop then drag the files to the thumb drive or SD card from there? Ar...

Re: Trouble with LAME v.3.99.3 Installation
You will need to follow the instructions: please click this link: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame . That is, run the EXE installer or extract the files from the zip. Don't open lame_enc.dll anywhere except in Audacity's Libraries Preferences (after having...

Re: Metadata dialog box
Try adding a space in the value for the custom tag (it's a bug).
