Re: Merging label tracks
Another method: Click in the Track Control Panel of one of the label tracks (or double-click in the label track) Edit > Remove Audio or Labels > Cut Click in the other label track and press HOME on your keyboard Edit > Paste Use the [X] top left of the now empty label track to close it. Gale

Re: Problem recording mono
The output of my computer is stereo and I wanted to record it in mono using Windows WASAPI loopback. This is when I got the error message as described in the first post. [...] I do not know if this error occurs on windows 8.1 It doesn't occur on Windows 8.1 for me, and I think it is a problem or li...

Re: Help! Recording cuts on sustained notes!
You'll have to look around on the computer for the cause - Audacity isn't doing it. Open the Windows Control Panel (Hardware and Sound) and look for the control panel for the sound device you are using. Turn off all the sound effects and enhancements. Are you playing tracks either in Audacity or els...

Re: Is there any way to reverse compression and is it worth
To clarify, Clip Fix is a Nyquist plug-in and is shipped with Audacity: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/clip_fix.html .DVDdoug wrote:There is a Clip Fix effect you can try. I believe it's one of the optional LADSPA plug-ins.

Re: search for one vocoder easy and auto
If you need help using the shipped Audacity Vocoder please see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/vocoder.html .
However I agree GSnap is what you need if you are trying to get the T-Pain effect.

Re: Auto Recovered file has flat line and no sound
There are no data errors in the log.
Try dragging "C:UsersM4LAppDataLocalTempaudacity_1_2_tempproject5299e00d00e0000865.au" or any of the other AU files into Audacity. If they are silence then silence is all that could be recovered.

Re: Opening Audacity sets speaker output to 0
If you have only been using Audacity a short while you could try 2.0.3 or 2.0.1, at least to confirm if the problem exists there or not: http://code.google.com/p/audacity/downloads/list?can=4 .
I would not go back to an older version than those.

Re: A music program to record tunes for use in Audacity
You can look at the link I already gave http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Midi# ... _with_MIDI .Kimmi77 wrote:I want to play a tune, save it and then allow the children to import it into Audacity.
Not all of those programs give you a keyboard to play a song on. Anvil Studio does.

Re: Can't record streaming
Audacity does not make Soundflower. It works on most machines. Perhaps you should ask here http://cycling74.com/newest-topics/ or here https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa .

Re: Skipping on playback
I updated my OS to 10.9.2 yesterday and that seems to have corrected much, but not all, of the problem. There is still some clicking and minor skipping, but not nearly as bad as it was. Thanks, Viktor. It will be interesting to hear if others have the same experience. I am hoping 10.9.2 will cure t...
