Re: How can I recover my recording?

First off, please answer Koz's question about the Audacity version. If you cannot use Audacity > About Audacity, open Finder, Go > Go to Folder and type: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/ In that "audacity" folder, open audacity.cfg using Textedit. The three-digit version number of A...

Re: question about recording with two mics with the aggregat

it records with both mics as 4 seperate mono audio tracks, 2 for each mic. i need to edit a lot, so i want them to record MONO on the same track, so when i cut out a piece of one, i dont have to cut it out of the other For the recordings you already have, you could Edit > Select All, then use Track...

Re: selection invert

is there a way to invert your selection? Can I select multiple regions If the workarounds for those are not adequate, you can ask for a "vote" for those to be recorded. If you want to vote for multiple regions, would you want to be able to select multiple non-adjacent region labels (for e...

Re: Distortion effect

You seemed previously in favour of the word "tube" I still do. I'm sure that a good "Tube overdrive" simulation would be very popular. Unfortunately I only know how to make a crude semblance of an overdriven valve amplifier. Really good digital simulations are very hard to do. T...

Re: Help! Recording cuts on sustained notes!

I also went into the "Dell Audio" application before clicking on "Sound" and made sure that all sound enhancements on speakers and microphones were disabled. I'm using a USB webcam (Logitech HD Webcam C615). OK. As the waveform tails off and it's a USB recording device then I as...

Re: Auto Recovered file has flat line and no sound

I just placed the modified autosave file in the autosave folder. Once that was done, I launced Audacity, there was a block that said recover poject. I hit that button after selecting the autosave file. I saw the error message that told me to check the log. The file came up in Audacity with a flat l...

Re: Connecting stereo to Mac

I now have the U202 There is no such thing. Tell us exactly what you bought. UCA202, UFO202 or something else. connected by to the headphone output socket from my amp. This is likely to be lower quality than the AUX or line out if there is one. The headphones output will have an extra amplification...

From your description, it appears not to be working.

My guess is that you installed some other audio routing tool that is conflicting with it. But you should ask how to test Soundflower on Cycling74.

Re: Distortion effect

"Tube Distortion" seems to be a common guitar pedal effect. It is, but I'd be a bit hesitant to use the term for a simple waveshaper effect. "Tube distortion" is a thing of mythology - it's the holy grail of something or other. You seemed previously in favour of the word "t...
