Re: How to make Audacity "CoolEdit like"
thanks but it seams than in this program it is just not possible to make a "folder" like in Cool Edit. So you want as I suggested at the bottom of my last post, a "file list"? If so, the nearest method is to make a project for those files then that is your file list. Drag tracks...

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
That is the default state, meaning App Nap is on and timer management is on. If you leave Audacity alone for a while it should show that it is on "App Nap" (Yes) in Activity Monitor.kozikowski wrote:Mine is not checked.

Lame default bit rate: Enabled Force mono: disabled (default) Force stereo: disabled (default) I think you should code something up or give a full description of what you propose. It is still not clear to me what the "Use advanced options" does, and it is not clear to me what the above me...

Re: How to make Audacity "CoolEdit like"

Now i must at work use ONLY Audacity, how can i make that tracks would be on the left side and than the timeline similar to Cool Edit Pro. Audacity's track control panels are alr...

Re: How to add Effect to only part of the song
Press the yellow Stop button if you are playing the track.
Drag-select the audio you want to apply the effect to. See: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/au ... ction.html .

Re: File is Corrupt: Not well-formed (invalid token)
If the file is intermittently being read incorrectly, it could indicate memory corruption. You could try Windows Start > Run and type "mdsched.exe" (without quotes). This is available on Windows Vista and later as a built-in memory tester. The best memory tests are repetitive, run overnigh...

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
You may be suffering from App Nap. It is possibly relevant. As I pointed out, Audacity has a lot of timer activity. "Idle Wakeups" in Activity Monitor shows Audacity can have up to 250 timer firings a second when playing audio. Turning off Apple's "timer management" is easily te...

Re: Metadata for storing additional attributes
This is mentioned in the Release Notes : Tags other than the seven default Metadata Editor tags will be rewritten as custom TXXX tags, which will cause them not to be seen in applications like Windows Media Player and iTunes. So until Audacity addresses this, you'll need to use a music player like F...
