Re: No stereo on exported mp3 file
I tried an experiment - panned the song fully left, so only the left track was exported, and the mp3 has this track in the center. Also, does the exported MP3 look like that if you drag it back into Audacity? If not, it's a playback problem. What application are you playing the file in? Playback de...
Re: Recording
Only overdub should play the sound track while recording. Make sure you use headphones and in Device Toolbar , select the correct input (for example, the microphone you are singing into) as the recording device. If it's a USB microphone, connect it to an empty USB port, not to a USB hub. If you need...

Re: Importing only part of a file
Probably the file is corrupted. Where did you get the file from? Download MediaInfo ( http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en/Download/Windows ). Get the version without installer, because the installer may have malware. Drag the WAV into MediaInfo so you can see the encoding/bit depth, number of channe...

Re: Saturation issues while recording
Use another USB cable. Plug into a spare USB port. Do not plug-into a USB hub connected to the USB port. Choose a sensible project rate bottom left of Audacity (44100, 48000 or 96000 Hz). Or forget recording with USB. Just save the recording as WAV in the H2 then use the USB connection only to drag ...

Re: editing features not appearing
I downuograded to 2.0.5 on 3/11/14 That comment makes no sense. 2.0.5 is the latest version: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . the features I was used to did not appear. No fade in or fade oout i could not even clip? should i reload it? I would download the "Audacity 2.0.5 installer&q...

Re: How to re-save lots of WAV files?
I find that all the WAV files of my previously saved Audacity projects are still there, but the projects folder is blank. Do you mean you have AUP files and no corresponding _data folders, or _data folders but no AUP files, or have you deleted or moved all the AUP files and all the _data folders? I...

Re: Linking of label and track
I would think alternatives are far more work than deleting the label and relabelling after the move. You could make it easier by using region labels for the new labels - just double-click the audio then label it.

Re: No stereo on exported mp3 file
Audacity 2.0.0 on Windows 7 / HP Pavillion laptop. I would suggest you update to the latest 2.0.5: http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . On the Audio track dropdown menu the 'Left channel' is ticked and greyed-out? Is that ok? Yes. What can I do to export to mp3 in stereo ??? Works for me in 2...

Re: "Recording" audio from HDMI
You aren't going to get a digital copy of the audio by playing or recording it unless you have a digital sound card or converter with an HDMI input. I would definitely rip the disc - it must have a Linear PCM stream by definition. I have not tried it but this is supposedly free and should retain all...
