Re: Real-time EQ preview (+ non-destructive EQ adjustment)
Is there a FR to be teased out of here - or votes to be counted ? I noted four votes to prioritise EQ for real time preview. LeeJames only mentions non-destructive features for EQ - he does not seem to be asking for a full non-destructive DAW like Reaper (not that Audacity is likely to become that ...

Re: Amplification in the last release of Audacity
I made a note of the request for Amplify to store the last used value, so I am archiving this.

Re: Can't record using Audient iD14
Audacity cannot automatically see new devices that you add while it is already running, so launch Audacity after getting the Mac to recognise the device. Or, you can use Transport > Rescan Audio Devices in Audacity at any time. Can you hear your input in headphones or speakers attached to the iD14? ...

Re: Cannot Access Plug Ins
Found the solution in this thread: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=316041#p316041 Thanks and sorry for not looking further before posting. No problem. Thanks for saying it was solved. If the problem comes back, apply the solution again. If you update to 2.1.3 when it comes out (hopefu...

Re: Error while opening sound device (WASAPI)
Did you have to mix down to stereo in VoiceMeeter? And can you answer these questions: The Info says that the WASAPI loopback device for the headset has eight recording channels. Is that still the case with 7.1 sound disabled for the headset? When 7.1 is enabled, do you see more than two recording c...

Re: Can't record using Audient iD14
Thanks for the good details. Do you see a blue bouncing meter for Audient in the Mac's Sound preferences? If not, that is the first thing to fix. Have you installed the iD drivers from https://audient.com/products/audio-interfaces/id14/downloads/ ? Have you checked in the iD14 app for a Firmware upd...

Re: Cannot record with MOTU 4Pre
It is really difficult for us to answer questions like this remotely. With external recording devices, sample rates must match everywhere - on the device (if it has a sample rate setting), in Windows Sound , and in Audacity project rate bottom left. Re: Where to save files for export
I am having trouble saving audio files in Windows 10. Can anyone tell me WHERE to save audio files in Windows 10 so that I can find them and export them to an mp3 file in Audacity? Assuming you are not logged in as an administrator, you have to save the AUP Audacity project file in your own user sp...

I am having trouble saving audio files in Windows 10. Can anyone tell me WHERE to save audio files in Windows 10 so that I can find them and export them to an mp3 file in Audacity? Are you really a podcaster as per someone else's podcasting topic you posted in? I am guessing not, so I started a new...

Re: Audacity won't launch. Help.
If there are different audio drivers for my Realtek onboard audio, I'm not finding them. Is it a branded computer like Dell or Lenovo? If so, the best place to look is their site. Or did you build the computer yourself? If so, the best place to look is the motherboard manufacturer's site. The Realt...
