Re: NVIDIA Sound Card Version 1.3.18.0 Not Compatible
KeepVid doesn't work on all sites, and support may come and go on some supported sites. But it's a good solution for most popular video sites. Note that KeepVid requires Java which is often the target of hacker exploits. Be sure to keep Java updated. On the "Update" tab of the Java Control...

Re: MacBook Pro Bug
I did a complete uninstall/reinstall There is no such thing as a "complete" reinstall on Mac because there is no way to reset Audacity Preferences using the DMG installer. then was very careful not to unplug my headphones while listening to an Audacity track... until today. Same issue aga...

Re: NVIDIA Sound Card Version 1.3.18.0 Not Compatible
As I also mentioned in the very beginning, the only line-in device that appears after enabling 'Show Devices' in 'Sounds'', was the MIcrophone. Yes I know - but I did not know if you had tried again after installing and uninstalling Realtek. Also I did not know if you reinstalled NVIDIA. Do you hav...

Re: Transfer multiple files from Audacity 2.0.5 to Windows M
Audacity only writes to a location on disk, not explicitly to Windows Media Player. Audacity won't give messages that include the word "transferred". Say exactly format you exported the files in, and exactly where you exported them to. After exporting, what actions do you take that cause t...

Re: "Critical Nyquist files missing"
I just downloaded Audacity 2.0.5 (dmg) and attempted to install and use it on my MacBook Pro, running OS 10.9.2. I followed the installation instructions in the install.txt file, and the suggestions for Macs running 10.7 and later. Every time, I get the error message "Critical nyquist files mi...

Re: NVIDIA Sound Card Version 1.3.18.0 Not Compatible
I unplugged monitor speakers from the blue and kept the Boston Acoustics speakers plugged in to the green. In Audacity, I kept the Input/Output variables the same (Speakers Hi-Def Audio to the Speakers HI-Def Audio) in order to loopback, and the host is WASAPI. I still get the high pitched and loud...

Re: Audacity and volume control options
There's no point in recording in floating point. Audio ADCs (analog-to-digital converters) and DACs are integer based. If you record in floating-point, your driver is simply making a conversion. [...] There's no harm in it, but there's also no need to dither. I'm confused by your point here. Are th...

Re: Installation: Do NOT run Audacity from the DMG!!!!
What's the possibility of making the Disk Image so Audacity will not run without installing? That sounds like a modification to Audacity, not the DMG. I'm not sure how practical it is. I would suggest waiting to see if we get a new installer with a background image displaying how to drag the Audaci...

Re: Feature request: "Goto" in Label Editor
can someone please clarify what (if any) is the FR here? I will count these votes unless someone contradicts (or changes the count number): Label Editor should not change the track selection (3 votes) Ability to select multiple labels for action in the editor, such as "Remove" (as a separ...

Re: Options Menu
I think Steve should answer the below before there is a proposal: I think this is drifting away from the subject "Options Menu". I don't like that idea very much if all "options" were there instead of in the menus they belong in. Or is the idea that Options is the "Easy Pref...
