Re: Can't Record Using Serato DJ & Pioneer DDJ-SX Controller
There are 3 items in the dropdown menu (I've attached a screencap of what I see in the dropdown menu) but “Built-In Input / LINE input” is not one of them. The instructions you are reading are for a Mac computer that has a line-in. The 3 choices are: "Microsoft Sound Mapper - Input", &quo...

Re: Recording starts runs for 16 seconds then recording res
I am recording from a usb port. [...]if I put anouther record on Audacity starts recording and runs for 16 seconds then recording is deleted and recording starts again. So you mean you record 16 seconds, then while the next 16 seconds records, the previous 16 seconds is silenced? Or perhaps that th...

Re: Audio removed from track
we recorded through a microphone You mean a cheapo desktop mic plugged into the pink mic port of the computer? Or a USB mic? Or a condenser mic plugged into a mixer, and if so how does the mixer connect to the computer? Were you listening to the recording in headphones as it was being made? If so, ...

Re: Missing Microseconds-Option in "Selection Timeline"
So how exactly did you do that? Why should it be done? What point are you making? PCM digital audio is always band limited to half the sample rate. I am sure you know that I know that. I just don't see the relevance of that to your argument. I understand the quantizing part of your argument. The fa...

Re: Audio removed from track
It is not a known problem that some of the audio would be omitted from the saved _data folder if you reach or exceed the 2^31 samples limit. The audio sounds to be in the correct order if you amplify the blocks that look like silence. What is the source of that audio and how exactly were you recordi...

Re: bug with the "Pause" button
If you can speak good English it is probably better to ask in the English Windows board unless you want to provide your question here in English and French and also translate the answer so that there is a version in both languages.

Re: Fractional millisecond time readouts
Windows 7 Home Deluxe, Audacity 2.0.5, .exe installer: In my previous version (1.3 I think) the time format h.m.s would display 4 places to the right of the decimal point for seconds. In this version, h.m.s + milliseconds displays only 3. Is there a way to display 4 places (1/10 milliseconds)? No, ...

Re: Splitting the sides of a stereo track
I exported a mono track but inadvertently had it panned 70% to the left. Then I closed the program and didn't save the original file. When I opened the new track it had been made into a stereo track with the audio on the top identical to, but quieter, than the audio on the bottom. Is there a way to...

Re: Audio removed from track
So I went back and re ordered the AU files in the correct order and the audio is playing in the correct order now. Good, in the recovery WAV for the "d21" folder, you mean? Unfortunately it did not save the first hour What did not save the first hour? You said you had 40 "d" fol...

Re: Failure in recording.
I configured the MOTU4pre(http://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/4pre) as the external audio card for a laptop and prepared to capture 3 tracks of audio simultaneously. But I fail in recording anything and see the attached pictures please. Could you give me some advice? Unlike some applications, Au...
