Using the latest version, 2.whatever. Please answer the question. All three numbers from Help > About Audacity. The AUP project manager file is not inside the _DATA folder. Is that what you were expecting? No, I saved the project to my HDD as I usually did, and thought that both the _data folder an...

city 2.0.5 was recording live from a mic connected to a USB Soundcard (Focusrite) when Win 7 froze necessitating a system reboot. Why did it freeze? Did you run out of power? If Windows is freezing you need to find out why. Do you have the correct drivers and firmware for the Focusrite? Audacity of...

Re: New to Audacity/Mac...problems w/ Lame & files...
Please see here for how to transfer projects between computers: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Sending_your_work_to_others . You need the AUP file and the complete _data folder. The AUP file will open the AU files in the correct order. If there were any imported WAV or AIFF files in the Windows p...

Re: How do I listen to a .caf file on audacity
If iPad created the CAF file it probably contains AAC audio. If so, install FFmpeg ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... tml#ffdown ) then Audacity should import the file.

Re: Left and Right Channels are identical
I have linked the Left and Right sockets on the back of the system with input left and right sockets on the Behringer. I have used the earphones socket on the system this morning and it did come out in stereo. Do you get stereo if you put headphones in the Behringer and set the monitor switch on th...

Re: First 5 seconds of Export buzzing
I do indeed have a MacBook Pro, purchased November 2013. Here is the Audacity file w/exported WAV, both exhibiting this behavior: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B15Dl3_IicZ7Y3VlVW5ONE9KdFU/edit?usp=sharing This project file sounds fine in Audacity 1.3.13, which also exports a flawless WAV. Thanks...

Is the USB output of the keyboard MIDI? If so Audacity won't see it. Please have a look at http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... #keyboards .

Re: Antares Autotune VST plugin trouble
Please be aware that AutoTune does not fully work with Audacity because Audacity cannot work with MIDI input. If Audacity recognises AutoTune then it will be underneath Wahwah in the Effect Menu. For more information please see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#...

Re: Can't Record Using Serato DJ & Pioneer DDJ-SX Controller
In this particular instance, the computer has no analog method of getting the show to Audacity, so no, you can't just run an RCA to mini plug cable from one to the other. We have seen this before and/or experienced people arriving on the forum saying they were assured absolutely that they could get...
