Re: Can't configure FFmeg
Next step to see if I can include album artwork in producing MP4a audio for my Apple/IPad approach. I'll add your "vote" that Audacity supports this at some future time. You can add artwork in iTunes. This isn't always intuitive but if you have problems this topic may help: https://discus...

Re: Name in track control panel
Is there a way to expand the track control panel so the whole name can be seen or at least have a mouseover to see the name without opening the name up to see it. We have an issue open for this: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75 . The workaround is to choose Edit > Preferences, ch...

Re: [Bug] Audacity crashes when opening 'About Audacity'
Thanks for the report. The crash also happens on Windows 7 in the current 2.0.6-alpha code but not on Mac OS X or Linux.
The root cause appears to be in some code change made between 2.0.3 and 2.0.4. I opened a bug report http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=715 .

Re: Pre-Amplify vs Post-Amplify
What about if I record from an external usb microphone? Is the amplification at time of recording still different than using the amplification effect in audacity post recording? What amplification at time of recording? If you record something playing on the computer, the recorded level you achieve ...

Re: Pre-Amplify vs Post-Amplify
I noticed that when I record sound from my laptop's speakers on Ubuntu How exactly are you doing that? Exactly what version of Ubuntu? the volume slider goes from "mute" to "unamplified" to various amounts of amplification. Exactly which slider does that? That sounds like an out...

If so and the green bars in Meter Toolbar swing exactly in parallel then there is nothing you can do to separate the sermons.Sue Chadderton wrote:I only have the two Squiggly lines ( I appreciate you using the Non-tech words) and I couldn't hear a difference between the right and left.

Re: DAC Does not Detect 192 kHz Input Audio Signal
If you are using MME host in Device Toolbar on Windows, it resamples everything to 44100 Hz.
Try using Windows DirectSound host in Device Toolbar.
How exactly does the DAC acknowledge the sample rate or measure the spectrum?

Re: Any better pitch correction tool for Audacity?
In addition to causing audio drift, GSnap... Used in Audacity, GSnap inserts 10 milliseconds of silent audio at the start of the processed selection, and 10 milliseconds of the selection are removed at the end. This is an Audacity limitation because it does not compensate for plug-ins that buffer a...

Re: Low samplerate audio sounds lowpassed?
Audacity doesn't low pass a 20000 Hz file that can contain frequencies up to 10000 Hz so that it only contains up to 2500 Hz. Are you sure you have turned all the effects off in your sound card? After poking around the menus, I'm almost positive the problem stems from the "Real-time Conversion&...
