Re: Audacity locks up when editing
Unless you are playing and stopping frequently or rapidly, this could be Audacity "slowdown" bugs in projects with over an hour of audio, rather than (or possibly on top of) a pulse problem. See "In projects containing an hour or more of total audio, there may be a delay" in the ...

Re: Audio disappearing as Audacity records
Hi, I've seen this problem on the forum but don't know if a solution has been found. We're using Ver 2.0.5 on a Windows 7 machine in a multi user enviroment, where users log in with independent profiles. At random times with random users, audacity will look like it's recording but the audio vanishe...

Re: Skipping in Mavericks
Perhaps what you should do is File > Print... Activity Monitor's contents while the noise is absent, then print again when the noise returns to see if different services have appeared. Also try sharing a large file between your computers then see if that starts the skipping going. Has the noise ret...

Re: Audacity 'pauses' on any editing
Do you mean there is a total of 6% CPU used, or 6% is used by user or system, or that Audacity is using only 6% of available CPU cycles?rwhite wrote:a total of 6% running on the activity monitor

Re: On going voice activation commentary
I was actually trying to use Sound Activated Recording, but I guess that was my problem. But I don't want the microphone to stay on when I am not talking (hence why I was trying SAR) to try and eliminate any background noise. Audacity doesn't have (but could have) a post-roll feature for Sound Acti...
