Re: track invisible
I am a novice user on Windows 7... I used to drag an mp3 into Audacity 1.3x beta to edit just fine until a week ago. I don't know what happened, but now when I do that or even when I open a track with Audacity, the title is there on the left, but the soundwaves simply do not appear and there is no ...

Re: Export U-Law
It is rarely a good idea to read online tutorials on other sites. The tutorials are often incorrect or don't say what version of Audacity or what operating system they relate to. We have an online Manual that is always current for the current release of Audacity. You can search it by clicking this l...

Re: Do not hear recording
I am using Windows 7, Audacity 2.0.2, and have not been able to determine if it is .exe or zip. That's your first problem. Please uninstall 2.0.2 and grab the latest 2.0.5 from us at http://audacityteam.org/download/ . Logitec webcam. When I tried to test my equipment, I clicked in the Input Level ...

Re: "side-by-side configuration is incorrect" error with 2.0
Well, that was a lot of finger effort but I got all the files renamed and copied Audacity's two DLL's to each corresponding folder per your instructions... Still the same side-by-side error message. Did you get the Audacity installer from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows ? The correct...

Re: Can't record internet radio station.
Do these Bose speakers have a headphones port, and does your computer have a blue line-in port? If so, you can record the speakers that way, choosing the Realtek line-in input, but this depends if you can stop the headphones port shutting off the sound to the main USB speakers. Or you can try Total ...

Re: How to extend the window to get spectrum of lower freque
I already looked at the manual but didn't see anything about a window limitation. It is not a limitation. The graphic display is not cut off at 1000 Hz, but the range below 1000 Hz has greater pixel width in Log view. I've added a note about using Log view for lower frequencies for the next version...

Re: Two problems: [1] audio in is only mono and [2] soft-pla
When I tell Audacity to plot the spectrum (Analyze > Plot Spectrum...), I get a window for the spectrum, but the axis is limited to frequencies of 1000 Hz or higher. I don't see any controls to get the rest of the spectrum. How do I extend the window to get the spectrum of frequencies below 1000 Hz...
